The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Malaysian tax laws and experience in preparing tax returns, handling tax audits, and liaising with tax authorities. Key Responsibilities: Assisting in the preparation and review of tax returns for individuals, companies, and partnerships. Conducting tax research and analysis to provide accurate and strategic advice on tax-related matters. Preparing and submitting routine tax compliance documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Identifying tax planning opportunities to help clients minimize tax liabilities within legal frameworks. Keeping abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and communicating relevant updates to clients and team members. Liaising with the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) both in writing and verbally to resolve tax matters efficiently. Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CTIM) is an added advantage. Experience during internship as tax consultancy, audit, or corporate tax is an added advantage. Skills in MFRS and MPERS and is able to apply these different standards. Good knowledge of Malaysian tax laws and IRB procedures. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, SQL, QBO) is preferred.
