This is a hands-on programming position for someone who enjoys solving problems, writing code, and staying focused on the task at hand. You will work directly with experienced developers, contribute to active production systems, and have the opportunity to learn quickly while being involved in meaningful projects from the beginning. Our development environment includes technologies such as: C# / .NET Blazor Microsoft SQL Server / T-SQL JavaScript HTML / CSS Web APIs and integrations Database-driven web applications You do not need to be an expert in every technology listed above. We are more interested in finding someone with a strong programming foundation, good problem-solving skills, and the ability and desire to learn. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Enjoys programming and can stay focused on development work for extended periods Has a solid understanding of best-practice software development concepts Can troubleshoot problems and work through unfamiliar code Communicates clearly and professionally Is comfortable asking questions when needed, but can also independently investigate problems Pays attention to details Takes ownership of assigned work and follows through Is interested in continually improving their development skills Works well as part of a small development team Experience with C#, SQL, JavaScript, Blazor, or other .NET technologies is helpful, but we are open to candidates with experience in other programming environments who have a strong foundation and are interested in learning our technology stack. What You'll Work On This is not a position where you will spend months working through tutorials before contributing. You will be involved in active development projects and will gradually take on more responsibility as your knowledge of our systems grows. Projects may include new application features, administrative tools, reporting systems, database development, user interfaces, integrations, e-commerce functionality, and improvements to existing applications. Because we maintain and continue to expand a substantial software platform, the work is varied and provides exposure to many different areas of application development. Experience This is a junior-level position . Professional experience is helpful but not required if you can demonstrate strong programming ability through education, personal projects, internships, freelance work, or other development experience. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is helpful but is not required. Position Structure & Compensation This position will initially be structured as a 1099 independent contractor engagement , allowing both the developer and our team to make sure the role is a good long-term fit. For a successful candidate who performs well and fits with the team, our intention is to transition the position to full-time employment . The software development employment market is currently changing considerably, so we are keeping compensation flexible based on the candidate's experience and capabilities.
