This is a true starter position for someone with computer graphics and design knowledge, we offer real growth potential. You’ll work closely with our lead sales person on smaller projects, design signs that are meant to be built and installed (not just look good on screen), and gain hands-on experience in how signs are actually made and installed. We are a Florida licensed electrical sign company. Eventually you’ll be working with real electrical signage — custom illuminated channel letters, halo-lit signs, bright LED storefront packages, and more — not just banners and basic vinyl work. Something you drive by, point out to your friends and family and say "we made that ". At Quality Signs, we don’t just sell signs — we design, fabricate, and install them. That means the person in this role needs a solid design eye and the ability to understand how things are built so the designs work in the real world. What You’ll Do: - Design custom signage (channel letters, storefront signs, electrical signs, etc.) with a focus on design-to-build - Work directly with customers to finalize details, gather information, and help prepare quotes for fabrication and installation - Assist the lead salesperson with smaller projects so you can get your feet wet and learn the process - Gain a practical understanding of how signs are made, materials, and installation methods - Be open to working in the shop and occasionally riding along on the truck to assist with installs (especially while you’re learning) - Help turn design concepts into real, installable signs What We’re Looking For: - Strong graphic design skills and a good eye for layout, color, and visual impact - Ability to take a project from concept through to a buildable design and quote - mechanically inclined - Willingness to learn the sign industry, fabrication process, and installation side of the business - Comfortable interacting with customers and supporting the sales process - Open to hands-on shop work and field install assistance as part of your training - must have basic hand tool and would be considered "handy". - Reliable, self-motivated, and eager to grow quickly This Is a Growth Position This is not a design only position. It is an offer to learn a trade and new industry. You’ll start at an hourly rate while you’re learning. As you pick things up and prove your ability, pay increases come quickly. Successful people in this role move into bonus and commission structure once they’re handling more of their own projects. The speed of your growth depends on how fast you learn and how well you execute.
