The role involves planning and executing testing activities across web, mobile, API, and banking applications, identifying defects, validating fixes, and ensuring systems meet business requirements, technical standards, and quality expectations. The position works closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, IT Operations, and business users throughout the SDLC and STLC. Job Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. 1-2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Software Testing, preferably in banking or financial services. Strong experience in web application testing and mobile application testing. Experience testing integrated systems and transaction-based applications. Experience in SIT, UAT, regression, functional, and end-to-end testing. Experience in API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools. Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL and database validation. Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or similar test/defect management platforms. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure. Preferred Qualifications Experience testing digital banking, mobile banking, ATM, payment, card, or core banking systems. Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, and web services. Experience using JMeter or similar performance testing tools. Basic knowledge of Selenium, Appium, Playwright, or similar test automation technologies. Knowledge of banking transaction processing and integration concepts. Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices. Knowledge of information security principles and secure software testing. ISTQB certification or equivalent QA/testing certification is an advantage.
