Team members collaborate across disciplines to manage planning, construction, and closeout activities efficiently. Role Description This is a full-time Junior Project Manager role, based in West Hempstead, NY, with work in the field and in the office. The Junior Project Manager will oversee projects from inception through completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, submittals, procurement, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers. Day-to-day responsibilities include tracking project milestones, preparation of submittals, preparation & attendance in project meetings with owners & construction managers, preparation & submission of RFIs, negotiating subcontracts & material buyout. and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role also involves preparing status reports, maintaining documentation, managing logistics for materials and equipment, and communicating regularly with stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and within scope. There will also be an estimating component for this position. Qualifications · Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination. · Candidates should possess strong knowledge of building methods, cost estimating, and reading blueprints. · Candidates should possess expediting skills to manage permits, approvals, and timely delivery of materials and documentation. · Candidates should possess inspection-related skills to coordinate and oversee site inspections, quality checks, and compliance with codes and standards. · Candidates should possess Logistics Management skills to handle material flow, equipment coordination, and vendor relationships. · Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. · Proficiency with project management & estimating software and standard office productivity tools. · Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and time management. · Three-year minimum experience in construction is mandatory.
