This role is suitable for someone at the beginning of their professional career who already has a good technical foundation and wants to develop hands-on experience across networking, systems, cybersecurity, cloud, monitoring, and infrastructure operations . You will work alongside experienced engineers on real customer and internal infrastructure environments. Your Role at NetXpose As a Junior Network & Systems Engineer , you will assist with: Networking LAN / WAN configuration and troubleshooting. VLANs, switching, routing, wireless, and VPN technologies. Cisco, Fortinet, MikroTik, Aruba, Dell, and similar platforms. Systems Administration Windows Server administration. Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Basic Linux administration. Virtualisation VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, and virtual machine administration. Microsoft 365 User administration. Entra ID. Exchange Online. Security and access configuration. Cybersecurity Endpoint security. Security hardening. Vulnerability remediation. Firewall policies. Security monitoring. Monitoring & Operations Infrastructure monitoring using platforms such as Zabbix. Alert investigation. System health checks. Log review. Backup & Recovery Backup monitoring. Restore testing. NAS and storage administration. Technical Support Troubleshoot user, network, system, and application issues. Escalate complex issues to senior engineers where appropriate. Documentation Maintain network diagrams, asset inventories, system documentation, and technical procedures. Automation Exposure to PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible, SaltStack, Git, and infrastructure automation. What You Need to Qualify Must already be legally eligible to work in Singapore without employer sponsorship. Diploma or degree in: Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. 0-2 years of relevant professional experience. Good understanding of: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and switching, Windows systems, basic Linux, cybersecurity fundamentals. Strong interest in infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity. Willingness to learn and work hands-on. Certifications - Advantage, Not Mandatory Any of the following would be considered an advantage: CCNA Fortinet certifications Microsoft certifications CompTIA Network+ CompTIA Security+ Linux certifications Certification is not mandatory for the junior position if the candidate can demonstrate solid technical fundamentals. What We Are Looking For We are particularly interested in candidates who: enjoy troubleshooting rather than avoiding technical problems; have built labs or personal infrastructure projects; understand the fundamentals, not only theory; are willing to learn from senior engineers; take responsibility for assigned tasks; document their work properly; want to develop into a Network, Systems, DevOps, or Cybersecurity Engineer.
