Sta. Clara International Corporation (SCIC) is an established PCAB-AAAA engineering and construction contractor with 50 years of experience delivering major infrastructure, power, water, industrial, building, and underground projects in the Philippines and overseas. We are looking for newly licensed Certified Public Accountants who are principled, analytical, eager to learn, and ready to build their careers in Internal Audit. No prior work experience is required. Successful candidates will receive structured training and practical exposure to SCIC’s financial, operational, compliance, and construction project processes. JOB SUMMARY The Junior Internal Auditor will assist in evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of the company’s internal controls, risk-management practices, and compliance with established policies and procedures. The position will work under the guidance of the Internal Audit Department’s senior personnel and Department Manager. Assignment: Head Office and/or Project Sites KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in financial, operational, compliance, and project-site audits. Examine accounting records, contracts, purchase orders, billings, reports, transactions, and supporting documents for accuracy, validity, completeness, and compliance. Assist in reviewing processes involving procurement, subcontractor billings, payroll, inventory, cash advances, project costs, and asset management. Perform reconciliations, data analysis, document verification, physical inspections, and project-site validations. Identify control weaknesses, irregularities, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvement. Prepare complete, accurate, and properly referenced audit working papers. Assist in drafting clear, factual, and well-supported audit findings and recommendations. Communicate professionally with employees, project personnel, and process owners during audit activities. Monitor and document corrective actions taken in response to audit findings. Maintain strict confidentiality, independence, objectivity, and professional conduct. QUALIFICATIONS Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. Must have passed the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination. Newly licensed CPAs and fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. No prior work experience is required. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Possesses strong analytical, numerical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. Able to communicate clearly in written and spoken English and Filipino. Demonstrates integrity, discretion, objectivity, professional skepticism, and sound judgment. Coachable, receptive to feedback, and willing to learn SCIC’s operations and Internal Audit standards.
