The role will focus primarily on financial control, cash-flow monitoring, reporting support, budgeting follow-up and coordination with internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will also handle selected accounting responsibilities to ensure accurate records, timely reconciliations and compliance with internal procedures. Key Responsibilities Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts and cash-flow projections. Monitor daily cash positions, bank balances, incoming payments and payment requirements. Assist in preparing periodic financial reports, management accounts and variance analyses. Track project-related costs, expenses and profitability, highlighting variances or potential financial risks. Support the preparation of payment schedules and ensure that payments are processed in line with approved procedures and timelines. Review supplier invoices, expense claims and supporting documents for completeness, accuracy and proper approval. Maintain accurate records of receivables and payables, following up on outstanding customer payments when required. Conduct bank, supplier, customer and intercompany reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals and supporting schedules. Support the Finance Manager with audit preparation, documentation and other finance-related projects. Ensure that financial records and reports are maintained accurately, confidentially and in accordance with company policies. Coordinate with operations, procurement, projects and administration teams to obtain timely financial information and supporting documents. Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field. 2–4 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably within a project-based, manufacturing, fabrication, construction, fit-out or related environment. Sound understanding of financial reporting, cash-flow management, budgeting and basic accounting principles. Experience with bank reconciliations, receivables, payables and month-end closing activities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables and financial reporting tools. Experience using accounting or ERP systems; familiarity with project-costing environments would be an advantage. Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work with confidential information. Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with different internal teams. Well-organised, proactive and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Attributes Ability to understand operational and project financial performance, beyond routine accounting entries. Practical, hands-on approach with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through. Comfortable working with deadlines and supporting a growing finance function.
