JOB DESCRIPTION As a Junior Developer , you will work closely with our IT and Digital teams to develop and maintain the automations and services that support our ERP system and digital platforms. This role is a great opportunity for an early-career developer who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and building practical solutions that support business operations. Your day-to-day work will primarily focus on Python and Microsoft SQL , using these technologies to build automations and query, process, and transform data. A significant portion of the role will involve working with temperature and tracking data, as well as providing SQL query and data support to our Data Analytics team. You will also gain exposure to components of our infrastructure developed in C# . Previous C# experience is helpful but not required. If you have strong programming fundamentals and a willingness to learn, our team will support you in developing your C# skills on the job. Responsibilities: · Application & Automation Development: Develop, maintain, and enhance Python-based automations and ETL processes that support business operations and system functionality. Assist with modifications to C# applications and ERP business logic as business needs evolve. · Data Integration & Processing: Support the movement, transformation, and integration of data across multiple business systems and platforms. Work with various data formats, transfer methods, and tools, including CSV, FTP, Parquet, Polars, and Pandas . · Database & Query Support: Develop and maintain MS SQL queries to retrieve, analyze, validate, and transform data. Provide ongoing query and data support to the Data Analytics team and other internal stakeholders as needed. · Code Quality & Documentation: Write clean, organized, and maintainable code while following established development standards and best practices. Create and maintain clear technical documentation for new development and improve documentation for existing processes where gaps are identified. · Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement: Assist with identifying and resolving issues within existing automations, integrations, and applications. Look for opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance through automation and process enhancements. · Cross -Functional Collaboration & Development: Partner with IT, Digital, Data Analytics, and other business teams to understand requirements and develop effective technical solutions. Participate in team meetings, sprint planning, technical discussions, and workshops while continuing to expand your programming and technology skills. Requirements: · Programming Fundamentals: Strong understanding of core programming principles and software development concepts, including familiarity with object-oriented and functional programming approaches. · Python Proficiency: Foundational experience with Python and common data processing and ETL libraries such as Pandas and Polars . Exposure to web development frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django is a plus. · SQL & Database Knowledge: Working knowledge of SQL , including the ability to write and troubleshoot queries, manipulate data, and understand relational database concepts. · AI -Assisted Development: Familiarity with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar technologies to support coding, debugging, problem-solving, and documentation. Interest in exploring emerging AI tools and applying them appropriately to improve development efficiency and code quality. · Continuous Learning: Demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new technologies, programming languages, tools, and frameworks. Ability to adapt as technology and business needs evolve. · C# Exposure: Basic familiarity with C# is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong programming fundamentals and an interest in developing C# skills are encouraged to apply. · Version Control: Familiarity with Git and GitHub or similar version-control tools in a collaborative development environment. · Problem -Solving & Collaboration: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.
