They play a pivotal role in enabling cloud adoption, optimizing performance, and driving innovation through continuous improvement. Job Duties and Responsibilities CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT Designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions. This includes architecting cloud environments and assessing/selecting the most appropriate cloud services that meets specific business needs. Provision and configure cloud resources according to best practices and scalability requirements. Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of cloud services. Establish and record best practices and approaches for the deployment of applications and upkeep of infrastructure. DEVOPS AND CI/CD Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes. Integrate automation tools for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment. Streamline development workflows and improve deployment speed and efficiency. COST MANAGEMENT Analyze and optimize cloud services cost structures to ensure cost-effectiveness. Implement cost-saving strategies and monitor resource usage. Provide recommendations for cost optimization and budget management. CLOUD MIGRATION AND MANAGEMENT Lead cloud migration projects from on-premises or other cloud platforms. Plan and execute migration strategies to minimize downtime and risks. Manage the migration process, including data transfer, testing, and validation. CLOUD SECURITY AND COMPLIANCE Implement security best practices and compliance standards in cloud environments. Configure and manage security controls, encryption, and access permissions. Monitor and audit cloud infrastructure for security vulnerabilities and compliance violations. DISASTER RECOVERY Participating in the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for cloud-based systems. COLLABORATION Work with developers and other stakeholders to integrate cloud solutions with existing on-premises or hybrid environments Whenever needed, take part in the planning, requirements, development, and testing for cloud. Provide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams for cloud related matters and initiatives and, if needed, provide corresponding training. Share knowledge and best practices with team members to promote continuous learning and improvement REPORT AND DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT Create and maintain runbooks for infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and troubleshooting procedures Prepares status report and other project related/ad hoc reports (as assigned) and updates/maintains project documents as needed. Ensures submission of project-related documents to the team/personnel responsible for safekeeping IT/Project related documents. MONITORING AND MANAGEMENT Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications for performance, availability, and reliability. Analyze metrics and logs to identify areas for optimization, such as resizing instances for better performance or adjusting storage configurations for cost-efficiency. PRODUCTION SUPPORT Collaborate with Production Support Team in the resolution of production issues endorsed for second level investigation. OTHER FUNCTIONS Conducts application training/orientation (as assigned). Staying up-to-date with the latest cloud and new technologies, best practices and industry trends. This includes attending seminars and training programs related to the job. May perform PM or Lead Cloud Engineer function/role as assigned (i.e. absent from work/duty). Job Qualifications Two or more years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on cloud platforms (such as AWS, Google or Azure) Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering Preferably with Cloud Computing Certification (such as AWS, Google or Azure) About Us PSBank is the thrift bank arm of the Metrobank Group.
