About Star Gallery Mart

Star Gallery Mart is a growing electronics retail and e-commerce company in the UAE, operating multiple retail branches, an e-commerce website, and a mobile application.

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and organized Junior Accountant who can handle daily accounting activities, inventory reconciliation, branch transactions, and e-commerce bookkeeping.

The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial and inventory records.

Key Responsibilities1. Daily Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Record daily financial transactions accurately.
• Maintain accounting ledgers, journals, and supporting documents.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and verify payment vouchers.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Verify supplier invoices, customer payments, and outstanding balances.
• Assist with monthly financial reports and account closing.

1. Inventory Accounting & Stock Control

• Monitor inventory movements across multiple branches.
• Reconcile physical stock with accounting and inventory system records.
• Investigate stock shortages, excess stock, and discrepancies.
• Track inter-branch stock transfers and inventory adjustments.
• Verify purchase entries, stock receipts, and stock returns.
• Assist with stock audits and inventory valuation.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory records.

1. E-Commerce Accounting & Reconciliation

• Independently manage bookkeeping for online sales through:
• Amazon
• Noon
• Carrefour
• Star Gallery Mart Website & Mobile App
• Reconcile marketplace settlements, commissions, and deductions.
• Record online sales, refunds, cancellations, and returns.
• Verify marketplace transaction fees and payment gateway charges.
• Monitor pending settlements, receivables, and payouts.
• Identify and resolve differences between marketplace reports, accounting records, and bank deposits.

1. Branch Sales & Payment Reconciliation

• Reconcile daily retail branch sales and cash collections.
• Verify POS and card payment settlements.
• Reconcile Tabby and Tamara transactions, commissions, refunds, and payouts.
• Investigate payment discrepancies and outstanding settlements.
• Maintain accurate records of branch sales and collections.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce preferred.
• Experience: 1–2 years of accounting experience preferred. Freshers with strong accounting knowledge may apply.
• Microsoft Excel: Strong proficiency in formulas, PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data reconciliation.
• Accounting Software: Knowledge of Tally ERP, Tally Prime, or Zoho Books is an advantage.
• Accounting Knowledge: Good understanding of bookkeeping, journal entries, ledgers, bank reconciliation, and accounts payable/receivable.
• Inventory: Understanding of stock reconciliation, inventory accounting, and stock movements.
• E-Commerce: Experience with Amazon, Noon, or other marketplace accounting is an added advantage.
• UAE VAT: Basic knowledge is desirable but not mandatory.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Candidate

We particularly welcome candidates who have experience in retail accounting, inventory management, marketplace settlements, stock control, and multi-branch reconciliation .

Candidates should be comfortable working with large Excel reports and investigating accounting or inventory discrepancies.
