This is a developmental role designed for someone early in their operations career who is eager to grow, learn, and take on increasing responsibility over time. Working closely alongside the Director of Operations, you will gain hands-on experience in all facets of our production workflow while contributing meaningfully to daily operations. Reports to: Director of Operations Location: 64 Weir Street, Taunton, MA Growth & Development This role is intentionally structured as a learning opportunity. You will work side-by-side with the Director of Operations, gradually taking on greater ownership of tasks and projects as your skills and confidence grow. Our goal is to invest in the right person and develop them into a senior operations leader over time. Core Responsibilities Production & Manufacturing Support Assist the Director in monitoring daily production/manufacturing operations to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to schedules Help coordinate activities across printing, laser cutting, die-cutting, and assembly operations Learn to identify and flag production bottlenecks and quality concerns Support efforts to verify that products meet specifications before fulfillment Inventory & Warehouse Support Assist in monitoring inventory levels for raw materials, components, and finished goods Coordinate pickups and deliveries between suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors, ensuring materials arrive on time and outbound shipments are scheduled efficiently Serve as a primary point of contact for logistics partners, managing scheduling and resolving any issues that arise in transit Help maintain warehouse organization and support efficient material flow Participate in regular inventory audits and reconciliation under the Director’s guidance Order Fulfillment & Quality Assurance Support the team in ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately, packaged appropriately, and shipped on time Assist in monitoring fulfillment accuracy and flagging issues for resolution Help coordinate order prioritization to meet delivery commitments Facilities & Workplace Support Help maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments across all production areas Support implementation of workplace organization standards Assist with facility opening and closing procedures Process Improvement & Technology Work closely with the Digital Operations (IT) team to: build and maintain relational databases in Airtable to support production workflows, inventory tracking, and order management develop and manage Airtable automations to eliminate manual, repetitive tasks across operations write and maintain Airtable scripts to extend platform functionality and support custom operational needs continuously improve our ERP system and internal tools Learn and apply Lean Manufacturing principles in day-to-day operations Assist in documenting processes and creating standard operating procedures Cost & Waste Reduction Support the Director in identifying cost savings and waste reduction opportunities and implementing agreed upon solutions Help monitor and quantify scrap rates/wasted materials and assist in implementing quality control improvements Contribute to tracking and reporting on cost savings metrics Team Management Directly manage the Warehouse, Inventory, Production and Order Management teams, serving as their primary day-to-day supervisor and point of contact Assign daily tasks, set priorities, and ensure team members have the direction and resources needed to meet production and fulfillment goals Hold team members accountable to quality standards, accuracy, and on-time performance in a respectful and supportive manner Identify performance gaps and communicate observations to the Director of Operations to support coaching and development Foster a collaborative, respectful team culture where every member feels valued and understands how their work contributes to the bigger picture Lead by example with a servant leadership mindset — no task is too small Communicate proactively across departments to ensure alignment on priorities and timelines Qualifications Experience & Skills Hands-on experience with Airtable including building and managing relational databases, writing formulas, and setting up views and filters for operational workflows Demonstrated ability to create Airtable automations to reduce manual tasks and improve process efficiency Comfortable working with (or willingness to learn) scripting in Airtable (JavaScript-based) to extend functionality beyond standard features Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn, adopt, and troubleshoot new software tools and systems Experience supporting or working within an ERP or production tracking system is a plus Experience or exposure to operations, manufacturing, or production environments preferred Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Personal Attributes Humble and hardworking with a genuine willingness to pitch in wherever needed Curious and growth-minded — motivated to develop new skills over time Reliable, self-motivated, and able to take initiative with guidance Collaborative team player with a positive attitude Adaptable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment About Cards & Pockets, Inc.
