Job Title-Joinery Technical Assistant

The Junior Technical Assistant – Joinery will support the technical and production teams in preparing joinery drawings, material specifications, technical documentation, and production requirements. The role involves assisting with shop drawings, material take-offs, coordination with site and production teams, and ensuring that joinery works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and modifying joinery shop drawings and technical drawings.
• Support the preparation of cutting lists, material take-offs (MTO), and material schedules.
• Review architectural drawings, design drawings, and project specifications.
• Assist in preparing detailed drawings for cabinets, wardrobes, doors, counters, wall panels, and other joinery items.
• Coordinate with the production team to clarify technical details and drawing requirements.
• Assist in selecting suitable materials, hardware, fittings, laminates, veneers, and finishes.
• Maintain and organize technical documents, drawings, and material records.
• Assist in preparing samples, material submittals, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and project teams regarding technical requirements.
• Follow up on drawing revisions and ensure the latest approved drawings are used for production.
• Support quality control by checking dimensions, materials, and specifications.
• Perform other technical and administrative duties assigned by the Technical Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in joinery, woodworking, furniture manufacturing, or interior fit-out.
• Basic knowledge of joinery construction, materials, and hardware.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
• Knowledge of SketchUp, 3D software, or other drafting tools is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of technical drawings and dimensions.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to learn and work with production and site teams.
• Good organizational and documentation skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
