Joinery Draughtsman

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Joinery Draughtsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed shop drawings, technical drawings, and production drawings for custom joinery, furniture, cabinetry, and interior fit-out projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed joinery shop drawings, working drawings, and production drawings for furniture, cabinets, wardrobes, doors, wall panels, reception counters, and other bespoke joinery items.

Develop detailed plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.

Prepare cutting lists, material specifications, and fabrication details.

Coordinate with interior designers, project managers, site engineers, and production teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements.

Review architectural and interior design drawings and identify discrepancies before production.

Ensure all drawings comply with approved designs, site measurements, and technical specifications.

Revise drawings based on client comments, consultant feedback, and site requirements.

Coordinate with the workshop and installation teams to ensure accurate fabrication and smooth installation.

Prepare as-built drawings and maintain proper drawing records and revisions.

Ensure efficient material utilization and practical construction detailing.

Requirements and Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in joinery drafting, furniture manufacturing, or interior fit-out projects.

Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of SketchUp, 3ds Max, or other relevant software is an advantage.

Strong understanding of joinery construction, materials, hardware, finishes, and fabrication methods.

Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings.

Good knowledge of site measurements, production processes, and installation requirements.

Excellent attention to detail, time management, and coordination skills.

Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
