Job Title-Joinery Draftsman

Job Summary

A Junior Draftsman – Joinery is responsible for preparing technical drawings, shop drawings, and detailed joinery drawings for furniture, cabinets, wardrobes, doors, kitchens, wall panels, and other interior fit-out works under the supervision of a Senior Draftsman or Technical Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed joinery shop drawings based on architectural and interior design drawings.
• Develop 2D AutoCAD drawings for furniture, cabinets, wardrobes, kitchens, doors, and custom-made joinery items.
• Prepare plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings.
• Assist in preparing cutting lists, material specifications, and hardware details.
• Coordinate drawings with the design, production, and site installation teams.
• Revise drawings according to comments from senior draftsmen, engineers, and clients.
• Ensure all drawings include accurate dimensions, materials, finishes, and technical details.
• Assist in preparing material and hardware schedules.
• Follow project specifications, approved drawings, and company standards.
• Maintain proper organization and documentation of drawings.

Required Skills

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
• Understanding of joinery and furniture construction.
• Knowledge of MDF, plywood, veneer, laminate, solid wood, and other joinery materials.
• Understanding of basic hardware such as hinges, drawer runners, handles, and fittings.
• Ability to read and understand architectural and interior design drawings.
• Basic knowledge of site measurements and technical detailing.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related technical field.
• 0–2 years of experience in joinery or interior fit-out drafting.
• Fresh graduates with basic AutoCAD knowledge may also apply.

Main Software Requirements

• AutoCAD 2D – Essential.
• SketchUp – Advantage.
• 3ds Max – Advantage.
• Microsoft Excel – Basic knowledge.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
