Joinery Detailing Manager

Geometry Home Furniture Manufacturing LLC is seeking an experienced Joinery Detailing Manager to manage and lead the joinery detailing department. The successful candidate will oversee the preparation, review, and coordination of technical drawings and production documentation for custom furniture and joinery projects.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with project management, design, site, and production teams to ensure accurate detailing and smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the joinery detailing team, including detailers and draftsmen.
• Plan, allocate, and monitor detailing tasks according to project priorities and deadlines.
• Review project requirements, design drawings, site measurements, and specifications before detailing begins.
• Oversee the preparation and checking of shop drawings, fabrication drawings, construction details, and production documentation.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, practical, and suitable for manufacturing and installation.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, designers, site teams, and production departments to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure all drawing revisions are properly tracked and updated.
• Monitor the progress and quality of drawings and ensure timely submission for approval.
• Coordinate the release of approved drawings and documentation to production.
• Identify potential construction or manufacturing issues and provide practical technical solutions.
• Ensure efficient detailing workflows and consistent drawing standards across projects.
• Support and train team members to improve technical skills and productivity.
• Monitor department workload, performance, and resource requirements.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate delays or technical concerns to management.

Requirements

• Proven experience in joinery detailing, furniture detailing, or technical drafting within the joinery or furniture manufacturing industry.
• Previous experience managing or supervising a detailing team.
• Strong knowledge of custom furniture manufacturing, joinery construction, and installation requirements.
• Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
• Proficiency in Bazis-Woodworker is required.
• Ability to review and interpret architectural drawings, design drawings, site measurements, and technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of materials, furniture hardware, construction methods, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience preparing and checking detailed shop drawings and production documentation.
• Strong leadership, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• UAE experience in joinery or furniture manufacturing is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-end custom furniture, wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, doors, wall panels, and interior joinery.
• Experience coordinating with workshop production and site installation teams.
• Knowledge of CNC production requirements and manufacturing workflows.
• Experience implementing drawing standards and improving departmental processes.
