Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Joinery & Decorative Woodwork Coordinator to manage and coordinate joinery subcontractors for our high-end and commercial interior fit-out projects, including retail, restaurants and hospitality,

The successful candidate must have strong technical knowledge of joinery and decorative woodwork, excellent connections with joinery subcontractors in the UAE, and the ability to manage the entire process from subcontractor sourcing and quotation comparison through fabrication, delivery, and installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, source, evaluate, and recommend qualified joinery and decorative woodwork subcontractors.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, including drawings, specifications, BOQs, and scope of works.
• Obtain competitive quotations from multiple subcontractors.
• Prepare detailed technical and commercial comparison sheets.
• Review quotations to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, quality standards, and delivery requirements.
• ⁠Coordinate shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, and technical submissions.
• Monitor subcontractors’ fabrication progress, including regular factory visits and inspections.
• Follow up on production schedules, quality control, and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with project managers and site teams to ensure timely installation.
• Monitor site installation progress, workmanship, snagging, and final completion.
• Identify potential delays and take proactive measures to maintain project schedules.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Wood Technology, Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field. (Extensive relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree)
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in joinery and decorative woodwork, preferably within the UAE interior fit-out industry.
• Strong technical understanding of bespoke joinery, decorative wall cladding, veneer, solid wood, MDF, laminates, lacquer finishes, and specialist wood finishes.
• Strong knowledge of joinery fabrication methods, installation techniques, materials, and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, detailed joinery shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Proven experience in preparing RFQs, evaluating quotations, and producing technical and commercial comparisons.
• Established network of reliable joinery factories and subcontractors in Dubai, Sharjah, and the wider UAE.
• Strong negotiation, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and AutoCAD drawing review.
• Good command of English and a valid UAE driving licence.

Pay: AED2,750.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
