Java/J2EE Developer Location: Remote – USA Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time Work Authorization: EAD, Green Card, or U.S. Citizen Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field Pay Rate: 60 USD/hr About the Role We are seeking an experienced Java/J2EE Developer to support the research, design, development, and maintenance of web-based grant management application systems supporting the National Institutes of Health (NIH) eRA Program . The successful candidate will develop and maintain enterprise applications, troubleshoot and resolve software issues, provide production support, perform unit testing, and work with databases and system requirements in an Agile/Scrum environment. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web-based applications using Java/J2EE technologies. - Develop new functionality and enhance existing applications through bug fixes and system improvements. - Provide production support and troubleshoot application issues. - Perform unit testing and automated testing of Java applications. - Analyze system requirements and manipulate data to support application development. - Design and work with relational databases using Oracle and PL/SQL . - Develop and integrate RESTful and SOAP Web Services . - Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment. Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and application maintenance activities. - Required Qualifications - Experience with Object-Oriented Design and Development . - Strong experience developing enterprise applications using J2EE/JEE technologies. - Hands-on experience with: - - Java 1.7+ - Spring MVC - Spring JDBC - Hibernate - Oracle - PL/SQL - XML - Experience with RESTful and SOAP Web Services and Apache CXF . - Front-end development experience with: - - Bootstrap - HTML5 - CSS3 - JavaScript - jQuery - AJAX - Tiles - Angular - React JS - Experience with automated testing tools such as JUnit, Cucumber, and Selenium . - Experience with source control and configuration management tools such as Git, Stash, and JIRA . - Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies . Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. - Education - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field .
