The role will support office users as well as manufacturing and engineering teams, ensuring high availability of IT services and minimal disruption to production operations. Key Responsibilities 1. End User & Desktop Support Provide Level 1/Level 2 technical support for Windows desktops, laptops, workstations, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals. Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, network, and application-related issues. Perform installation, configuration, upgrading, imaging, and maintenance of PCs and laptops. Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and other business applications. Manage user accounts, permissions, password resets, and access requests. 2. Semiconductor Manufacturing IT Support Provide IT support to production, engineering, quality, facilities, warehouse, and corporate teams . Support manufacturing workstations, engineering PCs, barcode scanners, label printers, and other IT-connected equipment. Troubleshoot IT issues affecting manufacturing and production environments while minimizing downtime. Coordinate with manufacturing/engineering teams when issues involve production applications or equipment interfaces. Support IT systems used in areas such as MES, ERP, WMS, SPC, and production monitoring , where applicable. 3. Network & Infrastructure Support Troubleshoot basic LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and network connectivity issues. Support network devices such as switches, wireless access points, and network printers. Perform basic network troubleshooting and escalate complex infrastructure issues to the Network/Infrastructure team. Assist with server, backup, storage, and infrastructure-related troubleshooting where required. 4. IT Security & Compliance Follow IT security policies and semiconductor manufacturing security requirements. Support endpoint security, antivirus/EDR, encryption, patching, and vulnerability remediation. Assist with device compliance and security configuration. Ensure IT assets and user access are properly controlled and documented. Support IT audits and compliance activities. 5. IT Asset & Incident Management Maintain IT hardware and software asset inventories. Manage incidents, service requests, and changes through an ITSM/ticketing system such as ServiceNow, Jira, or ManageEngine . Monitor SLA performance and ensure incidents are resolved within agreed timelines. Maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge-base articles. Escalate recurring or critical issues and participate in root-cause analysis. 6. Project & Site Support Assist with IT projects such as PC refresh, Windows upgrades, Microsoft 365 migration, network upgrades, and application deployments. Perform system testing, deployment, UAT, and post-implementation support. Coordinate with vendors and third-party IT service providers. Provide onsite support during system rollouts, maintenance, and production-related IT activities. Required Technical Skills Windows 10/11 administration and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 / Office 365 Active Directory Group Policy Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi VPN troubleshooting Hardware and peripheral troubleshooting PC imaging and software deployment Endpoint security / EDR / antivirus IT Asset Management ITSM / Service Desk tools Remote Desktop / remote support tools Basic PowerShell scripting is an advantage Basic knowledge of servers and virtualization is an advantage Semiconductor Industry Exposure Candidates with experience supporting any of the following environments will be highly advantageous: Semiconductor manufacturing Wafer fabrication / Fab environment Assembly & Test Electronics manufacturing Engineering laboratories Production floor / cleanroom support Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Equipment/production connectivity Factory automation environments Soft Skills Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Good communication and customer-service skills Able to work independently and within a team Able to work under pressure in a production environment Strong incident prioritization and problem-solving abilities Good documentation and reporting skills Willingness to support after-hours maintenance or production incidents when required Pay: RM4,065.99 - RM7,000.00 per month Benefits: Health insurance Maternity leave Opportunities for promotion Professional development Work Location: In person
