IT Support Engineer
# IT Support Engineer **BVI Medical** · Barcelona, Barcelona provincia · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: вчера* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Job Requisition No VN8502 Work Location Name Spain - Barcelona Worker Basis Full Time Worker Type Employee Contract Type Permanent Applications Close Date Oct 31, 2026 Purpose As BVI’s Spain IT Support Engineer, you would be the single point of IT accountability for our Iberia operations, based at our Sant Cugat (Barcelona) site and reporting to our Global IT Service Management Lead. This is a deliberately broad, hands-on role built around three things: looking after the day-to-day IT experience of 60+ colleagues across Spain and Portugal; owning SAP Business One as our local ERP, together with the applications around it; and acting as the on-site “smart hands” for our global infrastructure, network and security teams. If you enjoy being the person who genuinely fixes things — the one colleagues come to, who understands the business as well as the technology, and who has the autonomy to make local decisions while plugging into a global IT organisation — this role will suit you. You would also play a visible part in preparing Iberia for BVI’s global IFS Cloud ERP programme. Key Responsibilities What You Would Be Doing Be the first and main point of contact for IT across our Sant Cugat site and for remote Iberia colleagues, resolving incidents and requests hands-on across Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Teams, printing, mobile devices and local applications. Manage the end-user hardware lifecycle locally — provisioning, configuration (incorporating both modern MDM/Intune and traditional local deployment tools), stock, repairs and secure disposal — and run onboarding and offboarding end to end. Own day-to-day support of SAP Business One as our Iberia ERP, acting as principal key user across Finance, Purchasing, Inventory and Sales, administering users, authorisations and master data, and supporting period-end close alongside Finance. Manage our SAP Business One implementation partner (VAR): raise and track issues, coordinate patches, add-ons and version upgrades, as well as key integrations (EDI, Intercompany with Portugal, SII, Kat Treasury, eFactura), and hold the partner to agreed response times. Support the applications and integrations around the ERP — including CRM (Sage Sales Management), QlikView reporting and local interfaces — and keep the Iberia application landscape documented. Work with global IT leadership and the Corporate Applications team to integrate BVI Iberia into BVI’s global application landscape and prepare the local business for IFS Cloud. Act as the on-site pair of hands for our global Infrastructure, Network and Security teams — cabling, device swaps, firmware and patch windows, and guided remote troubleshooting — and look after the site server and communications rooms. Provide first-line support for LAN, Wi-Fi, WAN / SD-WAN circuits and local telephony, working with carriers and local vendors through to resolution. Support manufacturing and warehouse technology, including barcode scanners, label printers and shop-floor PCs, always prioritising production continuity. Verify backups, run local restore tests, and coordinate on site during incidents, disaster-recovery exercises and business-continuity events. Work within ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and GDPR requirements, keeping audit-ready records and representing local IT during internal and external audits. Manage local IT suppliers, assets and spend, and act as the trusted local IT partner to Iberia site leadership. Qualification What We Are Looking For 5–10 years in a hands-on, generalist IT role supporting a single site or small region, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial or regulated environment. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or a Grado Superior de Formación Profesional (ASIR / DAM / SMR) combined with equivalent practical experience. Practical experience working with SAP Business One in a live business alongside an external implementation partner (VAR) — enough functional and technical understanding to navigate and explain an existing implementation, administer users and authorisations, maintain master data, and provide effective first-line support to business users. We are not looking for a deep SAP Business One consultant; we are looking for someone who can own the platform locally and knows when to bring in the partner. The ability to write and adapt SAP Business One queries is required. Experience working with Helpdesk/ITSM platforms (e.g., Freshservice, ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy...) logging incidents and requests, maintaining SLAs, and a strong discipline for documenting local IT processes. Familiarity with QlikView, or a comparable BI / reporting tool, to support local business reporting needs. Strong practical command of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Entra ID / Active Directory, and end-user hardware lifecycle management. Experience with Microsoft Intune/Autopilot is highly desired, alongside familiarity with traditional local deployment and inventory tools (e.g., PDQ). Working knowledge of LAN / Wi-Fi / WAN fundamentals, switching and firewalls, virtualisation, and backup and restore — with genuine comfort performing physical work in server and communications rooms. Professional working proficiency in English is required — minimum CEFR B2, C1 preferred. Our global IT teams, documentation, ITSM records and vendor relationships all operate in English, and you would be assessed in English during the selection process. Full professional fluency in Spanish is also required. A genuine service mindset, calm under pressure, with the judgement to prioritise between a production-line stoppage and an urgent request from the leadership team. Comfortable operating as the sole IT presence on site — self-directed, well organised, and able to own problems end to end. Willingness to travel occasionally to our Portugal operations and other BVI sites, and to support occasional out-of-hours maintenance windows, go-lives and major incidents. Experience in MedTech, Pharma, Healthcare or another regulated environment is preferred; ITIL 4 Foundation and Microsoft or networking certifications are a plus. Existing right to work in Spain.
