VRS Technologies LLC is an IT solutions and infrastructure services provider in the UAE, delivering networking, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, IT infrastructure, technical support, and Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) services to clients across the GCC.

We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure & Network Security Engineer to manage our internal IT infrastructure and support client projects and AMC customers. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on technical experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to independently manage networks, firewalls, servers, cloud platforms, email systems, backups, and endpoint security.

Key Responsibilities1. Network Infrastructure, Switching & Wireless

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst switches, including 3850, 9200, and 9300 series.
• Manage HPE Aruba CX 6200F, Ruckus ICX 7250, Ubiquiti UniFi, TP-Link Omada, and D-Link managed switches.
• Configure VLANs, access and trunk ports, inter-VLAN routing, Layer 2/Layer 3 switching, STP, link aggregation, and PoE.
• Configure and manage wireless access points from Cisco Meraki, Cisco Aironet/Catalyst, Aruba, Ruckus, UniFi, TP-Link Omada, and D-Link.
• Manage wireless controllers and cloud-based platforms, SSIDs, guest Wi-Fi, corporate Wi-Fi, VLAN mapping, and authentication.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, Wi-Fi coverage, interference, slow speeds, switch ports, fiber links, and SFP modules.
• Maintain network diagrams, IP addressing records, VLAN documentation, and switch configuration backups.
• Coordinate with ISPs and vendors to resolve connectivity and infrastructure issues.

1. FortiGate Firewall, ISP Configuration, SD-WAN & VPN

• Install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot FortiGate 40F, 60F, and 80F firewalls.
• Configure WAN/LAN interfaces, ISP connections, static IP, DHCP, PPPoE, DNS, and internet gateways.
• Implement Multi-WAN connectivity, redundancy, FortiGate SD-WAN, health checks, and link-selection policies.
• Configure firewall policies, address and service objects, NAT, VIP, port forwarding, static routes, default routes, and policy routes.
• Configure and troubleshoot FortiGate High Availability (HA), including Active-Passive and Active-Active configurations where supported and required.
• Demonstrate strong practical, hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting FortiGate SSL VPN and Site-to-Site IPsec VPN tunnels in live production environments.
• Configure SSL VPN user authentication, VPN portals, IP pools, access permissions, routing, and firewall policies.
• Implement Site-to-Site IPsec VPN connectivity between head offices, branches, warehouses, and remote locations.
• Troubleshoot Phase 1 and Phase 2 negotiation failures, authentication errors, encryption settings, routing issues, NAT, ISP changes, and public IP changes.
• Troubleshoot Dynamic DNS (DDNS) issues and restore VPN connectivity during outages.
• Review firewall logs, investigate blocked traffic, upgrade firmware, check license expiry, back up configurations, and maintain security documentation.

1. Windows Server, Active Directory & Remote Desktop Services

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments.
• Manage Active Directory users, groups, Organizational Units (OUs), Group Policy, domain joining, and authentication.
• Configure and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, domain login, account lockouts, and access permissions.
• Manage file servers, shared folders, NTFS permissions, and user access.
• Configure and troubleshoot Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) and Remote Desktop Services (RDS).
• Manage RDS Collections, Remote Desktop Licensing, license server activation, RDS CALs, and licensing modes.
• Troubleshoot RDP connectivity, licensing errors, login failures, and server performance issues.
• Perform server patching, updates, maintenance, performance monitoring, and security checks.

1. Virtualization, Physical Servers & AWS Cloud

• Manage VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
• Create and manage virtual machines, virtual networks, storage, and snapshots.
• Install, upgrade, migrate, and maintain physical and virtual servers.
• Manage NAS/SAN storage, RAID, and server resource utilization.
• Configure AWS EC2 instances, VPCs, subnets, route tables, and security groups.
• Manage AWS EBS volumes, snapshots, Amazon S3 storage, and IAM permissions.
• Configure cloud infrastructure, storage, and access controls based on client requirements.
• Monitor cloud availability, resource utilization, storage capacity, and costs.
• Troubleshoot cloud server, networking, storage, and access-related issues.

1. Microsoft 365, Entra ID & Email Security

• Administer Microsoft 365 through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Exchange Admin Center.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), users, licenses, mailboxes, shared mailboxes, distribution groups, and permissions.
• Troubleshoot Outlook, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Configure and troubleshoot Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), authentication methods, Conditional Access where licensed, and administrator roles.
• Review sign-in and audit logs to investigate account lockouts, authentication failures, and suspicious activity.
• Perform email migrations from Zoho Mail, Google Workspace, and other email platforms to Microsoft 365.
• Configure email DNS records, including MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• Manage available Microsoft Defender for Office 365 security features, including anti-spam, anti-phishing, anti-malware, Safe Links, and Safe Attachments where licensed.
• Investigate phishing emails, spoofed sender addresses, suspicious links, malicious attachments, quarantined emails, and email delivery issues.
• Use message trace to troubleshoot email delivery and support Microsoft Intune device enrollment where deployed and licensed.

1. Backup, Cloud Storage & Disaster Recovery

• Configure and manage Acronis Cyber Protect and other supported backup solutions.
• Schedule and monitor backups for physical servers, virtual machines, file servers, databases, and NAS.
• Configure local and cloud backup destinations, including AWS S3 integration where supported.
• Manage backup jobs, retention policies, encryption, access permissions, storage lifecycle rules, and storage tiers.
• Configure AWS EBS snapshots and other appropriate recovery options.
• Monitor backup failures, storage capacity, alerts, and cloud storage costs.
• Perform restoration tests to verify data recoverability and troubleshoot backup and recovery failures.

1. Endpoint Security & Infrastructure Monitoring

• Manage Bitdefender GravityZone, Kaspersky Endpoint Security, and ESET PROTECT.
• Configure antivirus, anti-malware, ransomware protection, endpoint policies, and security updates.
• Monitor security alerts, investigate threats, troubleshoot security agents, and address endpoint vulnerabilities.
• Understand Microsoft Defender Antivirus, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Microsoft Intune.
• Perform preventive maintenance, firmware upgrades, configuration backups, and infrastructure health checks.
• Investigate network outages, high traffic, switch errors, slow connectivity, and other infrastructure alerts.
• Maintain incident reports, technical documentation, and configuration records.

1. Client Projects, AMC Support & Internal IT

• Manage IT infrastructure for VRS Technologies LLC, client projects, and AMC customers across the GCC.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain network, firewall, server, cloud, and endpoint infrastructure.
• Independently troubleshoot technical issues and implement appropriate solutions within agreed timelines.
• Coordinate with clients, internal teams, vendors, and ISPs.
• Follow security policies, change management procedures, and documentation standards.
• Support multiple client locations while maintaining reliable, secure, and available IT services.

Technical Skills Required

Candidates must have practical knowledge and hands-on experience in:

• TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, and DHCP.
• Cisco Catalyst, Aruba CX, Ruckus ICX, UniFi, TP-Link Omada, and D-Link switches.
• Enterprise wireless access points, wireless controllers, and cloud-based Wi-Fi management.
• FortiGate firewalls, ISP configuration, Multi-WAN, SD-WAN, firewall policies, NAT, and HA.
• Live production configuration and troubleshooting of FortiGate SSL VPN and Site-to-Site IPsec VPN.
• Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, RDP, RDS, and RDS licensing.
• VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, physical servers, NAS/SAN, and RAID.
• AWS EC2, VPC, security groups, EBS, S3, and IAM.
• Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access, and email migration.
• Email security, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and available Microsoft Defender security features.
• Acronis Cyber Protect, backup retention, encryption, restoration, and disaster recovery.
• Bitdefender GravityZone, Kaspersky Endpoint Security, and ESET PROTECT.
• Network troubleshooting, incident handling, security practices, and technical documentation.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• A Diploma in IT or Networking may be considered for candidates with strong practical experience.

Experience Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and network security.
• UAE work experience in IT infrastructure, networking, firewall administration, or technical support is required.
• Experience supporting corporate networks, multiple locations, client projects, or AMC environments is highly preferred.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex infrastructure and network security issues.

Preferred Certifications

• CCNA or equivalent networking knowledge.
• Fortinet NSE 4 or equivalent FortiGate administration knowledge.
• Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft 365, or Azure certifications.

Additional Requirements

• A valid UAE driving licence is preferred/required for client site visits.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and coordinate with clients and technical teams.
• Willingness to travel to client sites across the UAE as required.
• Immediate joiners or candidates who can join within 15 days are preferred.

What We Expect

The successful candidate must be capable of independently managing IT infrastructure, network security, and cloud services for VRS Technologies LLC and its AMC clients. Strong practical experience in FortiGate firewall administration, VPN configuration, SD-WAN, switching, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, AWS, backup, and endpoint security is essential.

Candidates with theoretical knowledge only and no hands-on FortiGate VPN implementation and troubleshooting experience will not be suitable for this position.
