IT Business Analyst
Job Overview We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst 3 with strong Healthcare IT, EHR/EMR, Practice Management, and HL7 experience to support healthcare systems and clinical applications. Key Responsibilities * Analyze business and customer requirements and translate them into effective EHR system solutions. Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless HL7 integration and interoperability. Manage, maintain, configure, and support EHR and Practice Management systems. Collaborate with clinical staff, technical teams, administrators, developers, and program stakeholders to gather and document requirements. Provide ongoing EHR application support, troubleshooting, updates, patches, and system maintenance. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, security, and compliance with HIPAA requirements. Analyze clinical workflows and identify opportunities for EHR optimization and process improvement. Generate and analyze reports supporting clinical and administrative decision-making. Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, software applications, and cloud platforms. Work with vendors and support teams to resolve application and technical issues. Create clear and detailed JIRA tickets for developers and administrators. Utilize REST APIs, Postman, and Swagger/OpenAPI for testing, troubleshooting, and documentation. Support training activities and assist clinic staff with effective use of EHR applications. Collaborate with technical teams on networking, system performance, security, and reliability. Provide on-call/off-hours support when required. Required / Preferred Skills ✅ 3–5+ years supporting EHR/EMR and Practice Management systems ✅ Healthcare IT / Hospital IT experience ✅ Strong HL7 knowledge and healthcare interoperability experience ✅ HIPAA and healthcare IT security knowledge ✅ EHR system implementation, configuration, and production support ✅ REST API / Postman / Swagger experience ✅ JIRA and/or Ivanti ticketing experience ✅ Advanced Windows troubleshooting ✅ Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud environments ✅ Networking fundamentals and troubleshooting ✅ Strong requirements gathering and business analysis skills ✅ Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills ✅ Ability to explain technical issues to clinical/non-technical users ✅ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Education Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Equivalent healthcare/hospital IT experience may also be considered. Pay: Up to $55.00 per hour Work Location: Hybrid remote in Atlanta, GA 30334
