What does the job entail? Within the Local Supply Chain & Quality team of ArcelorMittal Belgium we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated IT analyst, who wishes to deep-dive into the knowledge domain of order entry, schedule & spot orders. The main subject is receiving the orders from the generic ArcelorMittal order platform and translating the commercial and technical specifications for the plants : Gent, Geel, Genk and Liege. - You will be part of an IT team which manages these applications (renewal, optimization, maintenance, support, problem solving, …) - You will play a key-role in the integration of the local IT applications with transversal IT applications (Sultan project) - You will be the bridge between your IT team and the business (Supply Chain Logistics) for ArcelorMittal Belgium, but also transversal IT teams and business. This by having frequent contact to capture the business needs. - You will analyze the functional request and issues, translate them to changes and/or extensions of the IT application(s) you manage, and which can be picked-up by developers for implementation - You are able to reverse engineer the business logic from existing code. - You follow-up the technical implementation and testing - You take the responsibility of the commissioning and overall quality of the IT applications, in cooperation with the business - You are able to take the role as project lead for smaller projects You will be based in Gent - Are you the ideal candidate ? - You have a Master of Science. - You are interested in the business behind the IT applications. - You enjoy diving into the code to extract the logic or to perform the impact analysis ( Mainframe - PL/I & Cool:Gen, C#, …). - You are creative and can think out-of-the-box. - You are analytic and pragmatic.
