We’re looking for an experienced Internal Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Partner to join our People Team on an initial 6-month fixed term contract , with the potential for the role to become permanent as the business continues to grow. This isn’t a recruitment role where you’ll be managing a handful of vacancies at a time. We operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, so we need somebody who is comfortable managing multiple vacancies, volume recruitment and changing priorities, while still making sure candidates and hiring managers receive a great service. You’ll report directly into the Senior People Manager and work closely with managers across the business to understand their recruitment needs and turn those requirements into successful hires. What you’ll be doing You’ll take ownership of recruitment across a broad range of roles, including high-volume operational vacancies alongside skilled, technical and professional appointments. Day to day, you’ll be responsible for: - Managing vacancies from initial brief through to offer and onboarding handover - Partnering with hiring managers to understand their requirements and challenge the brief where needed - Managing high-volume manufacturing and operational recruitment - Writing and posting engaging job adverts across platforms such as Indeed - Proactively sourcing candidates rather than relying purely on applications - Screening candidates and managing shortlisting - Coordinating and supporting interviews - Keeping candidates informed throughout the recruitment process - Building talent pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill roles - Working with recruitment agencies when required, while helping us increase our direct recruitment capability - Monitoring recruitment activity, vacancy progress and time-to-hire - Supporting recruitment campaigns linked to business growth and increased headcount - Helping improve our recruitment processes and overall candidate experience - Working closely with the wider People Team to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to new starter What we’re looking for For this particular role, manufacturing recruitment experience is essential . We need someone who understands what recruitment looks like in a fast-moving manufacturing or similarly volume-driven environment. You’ll ideally have: - Previous experience in internal recruitment, talent acquisition or high-volume recruitment - Manufacturing recruitment experience - Experience recruiting operational and volume-based roles - The ability to manage multiple live vacancies and priorities at the same time - Strong direct sourcing and candidate attraction skills - Experience using Indeed and other recruitment platforms - Confidence working directly with hiring managers at different levels - A proactive approach and the ability to keep recruitment moving without needing to be chased - Strong organisation and communication skills - A commercial understanding of recruitment costs and the benefits of effective direct hiring - The resilience and flexibility to operate in a business where priorities can move quickly Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running . You’ll need to be comfortable picking up live recruitment requirements quickly, building relationships with our managers and taking real ownership of delivery. Why join Shepley Spring?
