Intern - Interior Design & Fit-out

Role Objective

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Interior Design Intern to join our team in Dubai. You will support our lead designers and project managers in transforming empty shells into high-end residential and commercial spaces. This role offers hands-on experience in the entire project lifecycle—from the initial mood board to the final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Development:
• Assist in creating high-quality 3D renders using 3ds Max + V-Ray/Corona or SketchUp + Enscape .
• Draft detailed 2D technical drawings (floor plans, RCPs, elevations, and joinery details) using AutoCAD .
• Material Selection & Sourcing:
• Liaise with local Dubai suppliers to source finishes, fabrics, furniture, and lighting.
• Maintain and organize the office material library.
• Technical Documentation & Approvals:
• Help prepare drawing sets for Dubai Municipality (DM) , Trakhees , and Dubai Development Authority (DDA) submissions.
• Assist in drafting Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and project cost estimations.
• Site Coordination:
• Attend site visits to assist in measurements and progress photography.
• Observe the coordination between designers and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams to ensure design intent is met.

Technical Skills RequiredSoftware/SkillProficiency Level AutoCAD: Intermediate (Drafting layouts and sections) 3ds Max / SketchUp: High (Producing realistic 3D visuals) Adobe Creative Suite : Basic (Photoshop for post-production/InDesign for presentations) Microsoft Office: Basic (Excel for BOQs and schedules)

Soft Skills & Qualifications

• Educational Background: Recent graduate of an Interior Design or Architecture program.
• Communication: Fluent in English (written and spoken). Arabic or Russian is an advantage in the Dubai market.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing both conceptual creativity and technical drafting.
• Location: Dubai, UAE (In-office & Site visits)

Duration: Unpaid 3 months ( Potential for a full time role)
