What you’ll do: Join our Auckland-based mobile team and help build and maintain the Genesis Energy app, delivering customer-facing features across account management, bills, usage, payments, dashboards and EV. You’ll work alongside experienced senior developers, product, design, QA and backend teams, with opportunities to strengthen your craft and contribute to how we use AI-assisted development tools. Build and maintain iOS features within our Swift multi-module codebase. Develop modern iOS experiences using SwiftUI, alongside existing UIKit features. Work with MVVM architecture, Swift Package Manager, dependency injection and shared design-system components. Integrate REST APIs and deliver reliable experiences across loading, success, empty and error states. Write meaningful tests using Swift Testing and Mockable, review code and help investigate production issues. Use GitHub Copilot and contribute to the responsible evaluation of other AI-assisted development tools. What you’ll need: You’ll bring solid professional Android development experience and be comfortable delivering within established engineering patterns while continuing to grow your technical capability. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively, writing maintainable code and learning from experienced developers around you. Strong Swift and native iOS development fundamentals, with around 3+ years’ relevant experience. Hands-on experience with SwiftUI and familiarity with UIKit. Familiarity with MVVM, asynchronous programming, dependency injection and modular architecture. Experience consuming REST APIs, writing meaningful tests and working with Git and pull requests. An understanding of Swift Package Manager, Xcode and iOS development workflows. A practical, collaborative approach to problem-solving and thoughtful use of AI development tools.
