LOCATION: Tokyo Department : Interior Design & Visual Merchandising Report to : Senior Interior Design Manager Job responsibilities Job Summary : The Interior Design team at Bulgari Japan provide creative store environments that embody the Bulgari - heritage and innovation rooted in Rome. To strengthen our team and enhance our creative operations, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Interior Design Associate Manager. In this role, you will support the creation of Bulgari stores across Japan, comprehensively managing projects—ranging from new openings to renovations—from the planning stage through to construction. You will also oversee post-opening support and existing store operations, including rollouts, minor renovations, and facility maintenance, playing a key role in delivering luxurious customer experience. Key Responsibilities: Understand the Store Design Concept and the Company's strategy and provide cross-functional support to the entire interior design team Profile Organizing and Negotiating Building Conditions with Landlord With an understanding of business strategy, conduct strategic negotiations to guide the project toward the desired design and environment. - Organize legal conditions - Organize and negotiate technical conditions such as structure and facilities Creating the Master Schedule and managing to achieve all critical milestones - Kick off/ Design - Bidding - Various approval times - Drawings, Procurement and Production - Construction/ Preparation and Opening - Inspections after opening Budget Management and reporting Lead the project to successful completion within the approved budget - Manage and monitor the budget for each project - Reporting cost trends to HQ and keeping them constantly updated on the situation Coordination with Internal Stakeholders (the HQ team and other department) Understand the design intentions from Rome and engage in pre-negotiations and information organization with relevant agencies, incorporating specialized knowledge to ensure advantageous design conditions. - Realize and adjust HQ design intentions - Confirm Store Operations, Products Allocate - Collaborate with the Retail department and prepare the opening schedule Coordination with Local Consultants Explain and ensure understanding of design intentions from HQ with the local consultants (Local architects, Cost management, Sustainability consultants) Coordination with Construction and Production companies Collaborate with GC (General Contractor) and Production companies (Millworker, Material supplier) to always provide an environment where creative ideas can emerge as the project team. - Coordinate VE (Value Engineering) proposals according to the budget with the local consultants and GC - Create various contracts and Various ordering tasks as required - Review various shop drawings - Review of sample submittals for materials, finishes as required - On-site construction checks - Pre-shipment factory inspections - Completion inspections - Attend inspections one year after completion Facility and Maintenance Carrying out prompt maintenance to maintain a store environment befitting Bvlgari stores - Manage and monitor the approved budget - Periodically visit stores and instruct them to promptly carry out maintenance requests - Collaborate with GC and Millworker to improve the manufacturing and construction quality - Collaborate and share the situation and progress with team members to improve the store environment as one team - Various ordering tasks as required - Monthly report preparation - Analysis and Proposal for Maintenance - Supporting the Senior Manager with budget planning for the following year and creating guidelines Sustainability Understand the company's sustainability initiatives and provide support for related tasks Additional information Required Skills and Experience - 3 + years of experience in store planning at a global luxury industry, or architect or contractor - Working knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, mechanical and structural engineering - Strong interpersonal, communication, project management skills - Resourceful and driven individuals who can communicate effectively to all levels of stakeholders - Team player with a can-do attitude and is adaptable to fast & changing environment Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Interior Design, Project Management or similar - - PC skills : PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Adobe (CAD skills are a plus) - Language : Excellent communication skills in Japanese, English proficiency BVLGARI MAISON Bvlgari was founded in the heart of Rome in 1884.
