The Business Analysis program prepares students for careers as business analysts, process analysts, and requirements analysts through hands-on training in stakeholder engagement, requirements management, process modelling, data analysis, and solution evaluation. Position Summary The College is seeking an experienced Business Analysis Instructor to deliver engaging, industry-relevant instruction to students in the Business Analysis program. The successful candidate will design and teach courses covering business needs, requirements elicitation, process improvement, and solution assessment, while mentoring students on translating stakeholder needs into practical business outcomes. Key Responsibilities · Develop and deliver course content in stakeholder analysis, requirements elicitation, process modelling, business cases, and solution evaluation · Design curriculum reflecting the IIBA BABOK Guide and business analysis practices in predictive and agile delivery environments · Guide students through stakeholder interviews, process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability · Evaluate practical assignments and capstone projects, providing constructive feedback on requirements quality and business recommendations · Teach analysis and documentation using Excel, SQL fundamentals, process modelling tools, and requirements platforms; stay current with industry practices · Support program development, including curriculum review and industry advisory committee participation · Create an inclusive, collaborative classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and clear stakeholder communication Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field · Minimum 3 years of professional business analysis experience, with 3-5 years preferred, in business change, process improvement, or systems delivery · Proficiency in Excel, process modelling tools such as Visio, and requirements platforms such as Jira or Confluence; familiarity with SQL · Prior teaching, training, or mentorship experience is an asset · Strong communication, stakeholder facilitation, analytical, and classroom management skills · Demonstrated experience producing requirements, process models, business cases, or user acceptance testing documentation · Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement · Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice Assets · IIBA CBAP or CCBA certification, or an equivalent professional business analysis credential · Experience with BPMN process modelling, Power BI, agile delivery, or business transformation projects · Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) What We Offer · Competitive salary commensurate with experience · Access to industry-standard labs and software · Professional development opportunities · Collegial, creative work environment Reporting to: Dean, Business & Technology Work Location: In person
