The Role: Vitrocsa New Zealand is seeking an experienced Installation Foreman to lead and elevate our onsite installations. Please note this is a travel heavy role . Successful employee must be comfortable travelling outside of Auckland regularly. This is a hands-on trade leadership role, working on the tools while leading installations across Auckland and surrounding regions. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, accurately and to the exceptionally high standards that Vitrocsa is known for. Working alongside builders, architects and project managers, you'll act as the on-site face of the brand, coordinating installations, solving problems and mentoring installation staff while maintaining a strong focus on quality and craftsmanship. For the right person, this role offers a genuine pathway into an Installation Manager position, providing the opportunity to take ownership of multiple projects and a larger installation team over time. The Auckland warehouse and office are based in Wiri, with projects primarily located throughout Auckland and the upper North Island. Travel to Christchurch and other South Island locations will be required. Key Responsibilities: Lead and carry out installations across high-end residential and architectural construction projects Conduct accurate site measures and ensure projects are properly prepared before installation commences Read and interpret architectural and shop drawings Run pre-start meetings with builders and site representatives Coordinate installation activities and provide day-to-day leadership to the onsite team Maintain strong health and safety standards, including inductions, toolbox talks and hazard management Complete QA inspections and maintain accurate project documentation Identify and resolve installation challenges as they arise Act as the primary onsite contact for builders, architects and project stakeholders Provide mentoring, guidance and training to installers while leading by example The Expertise: We're looking for a qualified carpenter who understands how buildings come together and takes pride in delivering exceptionally high-quality work. You'll likely have experience as a Foreman, Leading Hand, Senior Carpenter or Site Supervisor within the residential, commercial or architectural construction sectors, and be confident leading small teams while remaining hands-on. Experience working on high-end homes, architectural projects, façade systems, glazing, joinery or specialist construction elements will be highly regarded, although not essential. To be successful, you'll bring: NZ Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4) or equivalent trade qualification Strong carpentry or construction experience with proven leadership capability Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Sound health and safety knowledge Full Class 1 driver's licence Ability to travel throughout New Zealand when required Highly Regarded: Glass handling or glazing installation experience Experience coordinating crane lifts and complex installation activities Forklift licence Experience working on premium residential or architecturally designed projects Experience dealing with on-site craneage, slinging and signalling Why Join Vitrocsa?
