The Role We are seeking a proactive Inside Sales Associate who is ready to be a growth engine for our company. This isn't just an "order-taking" role; you will be responsible for balancing the high-touch care of our current accounts with a "hunter" mindset to find new opportunities. From managing walk-in customers and complex B2B quotes to identifying new contracts, you will play a central role in our long-term success. Key Responsibilities ● Serve as the primary point of contact for existing B2B clients, managing the full sales cycle from initial inquiry to final delivery. ● Proactively follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction, encourage repeat business, and identify new project needs. ● Manage walk-in sales and provide expert product guidance to customers visiting our Tukwila facility. ● Conduct cold calls and outreach to identify and acquire new B2B clients across diverse industries. ● Research and identify new market opportunities, including city bids, public sector projects, and government contracts. ● Assist in the execution of company marketing plans to ensure a consistent and professional brand message. ● Master the company’s inventory systems and internal sales processes to provide accurate pricing and availability. ● Enter and manage customer data within our CRM/database to ensure transparent tracking of sales activity. ● Generate formal quotes and sales orders for management review and monitoring. ● Coordinate with the warehouse and operations teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. Qualifications ● High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (business, marketing, or related field) Strong math skills required. Must be efficient in 10 key. Experience in calculating pricing quickly. We use a DOS based software program. ● 3–5 years of experience in customer service, inside sales, account management, or industrial distribution is preferred. ● Prior experience in the metal, construction, or industrial supply industry is strongly preferred . ● Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a professional, customer-first approach. ● Proficiency in MS Office and Excel ● Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple customer accounts and priorities ● A self-motivated "self-starter" who is comfortable with cold calling and possesses a strong willingness to learn technical product specifications. Physical Requirements ● Ability to work in a combined office and warehouse environment. ● Ability to assist customers with product samples and navigate the warehouse floor as needed.
