Job Purpose To perform safe and high-quality electrical installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and rectification works for modular buildings, temporary facilities, and industrial projects in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and site HSE procedures. 2. Key Responsibilities ·Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in modular cabins and project facilities. ·Carry out cable pulling, dressing, glanding, termination, ferruling, and identification. ·Install and terminate distribution boards, isolators, MCCBs, MCBs, RCBOs, RCDs, sockets, lighting, emergency lighting, and small-power systems. ·Install and connect power supplies for air-conditioning units, water heaters, exhaust fans, and other cabin equipment. ·Perform earthing and bonding works and verify the integrity of protective conductors. ·Read and follow single-line diagrams, load schedules, wiring diagrams, electrical layouts, cable schedules, and approved method statements. ·Perform continuity, insulation-resistance, polarity, earth-continuity, and functional testing before energization. ·Identify electrical faults and complete troubleshooting and rectification safely and efficiently. ·Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities, inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover. ·Follow permit-to-work, electrical isolation, LOTO, TESC, toolbox-talk, risk-assessment, and site safety requirements. ·Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, QA/QC inspectors, HSE personnel, and other trades. ·Report completed work, material requirements, defects, and site constraints to the supervisor and maintain good housekeeping. 3. Mandatory Candidate Requirements ·Minimum 2 years of practical experience working as an electrician. ·At least 2 years of relevant experience in industrial, oil and gas, construction, maintenance, or modular-building projects. ·Hands-on experience with LV electrical systems, preferably up to 415 V. ·Demonstrated competence in cable glanding and termination, distribution-board installation, earthing, electrical testing, and fault-finding. ·Ability to understand basic single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, load schedules, cable schedules, and work instructions. ·Ability to use electrical test instruments such as multimeters, clamp meters, insulation-resistance testers, and earth testers. ·Good understanding of electrical isolation, LOTO, and safe working practices. ·Ability to communicate and understand basic work and safety instructions in English. ·Physically fit and willing to work at workshops and controlled industrial project sites. ·Valid employment and mobilization documents required for work in Qatar. 4. Preferred but Not Mandatory ·Vocational certificate, trade certificate, or diploma in electrical installation or a related discipline. ·Experience in permanent buildings, portable buildings, temporary facilities, or accommodation units. ·Experience of QatarEnergy or similar controlled industrial sites. ·Knowledgeable with LOTO procedure. ·Familiarity with LSHF and SWA cables, emergency lighting, HVAC power connections, and temporary electrical systems. 5. Required Competencies ·Strong practical electrical skills and safe working discipline. ·Ability to diagnose faults independently and explain the cause and corrective action. ·Attention to cable identification, termination quality, testing, and workmanship. ·Ability to complete assigned work within the planned schedule and report constraints early. 7. Candidates Not to Be Shortlisted ·Candidates with only helper-level experience who cannot work independently as an electrician. ·Candidates who cannot explain cable glanding, termination, earthing, distribution-board work, or electrical testing. ·Candidates who cannot read a basic single-line or wiring diagram. ·Candidates with no understanding of electrical isolation, LOTO, or verification of a dead circuit. ·Candidates who cannot provide reasonable evidence or a credible explanation of their claimed experience. ·Candidates who cannot confirm their employment status, availability, or required mobilization documents. Pay: QAR2,600.00 - QAR3,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
