This role offers the flexibility to independently manage recruitment processes while contributing to our organization’s growth by sourcing, engaging, screening, and hiring high-quality talent. The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruiting, candidate sourcing, recruitment technology, relationship management, and talent pipeline development . This is an opportunity for a self-motivated recruiting professional who is comfortable working independently and using innovative sourcing strategies to identify exceptional candidates for pediatric therapy and healthcare positions. Compensation $1,250 per successful hire +$250 90-day retention bonus The $1,250 placement fee is paid when the recruited candidate begins employment. An additional $250 retention bonus is paid when the recruited candidate successfully completes 90 consecutive days of employment . Responsibilities & Deliverables For each assigned position, the Independent Recruiter will independently manage the recruitment process from sourcing through the candidate’s first day, including: Build and maintain a targeted candidate pipeline using ATS/recruiting platforms, job boards, social media, professional networks, direct outreach, referrals, and other sourcing strategies. Source, engage, and screen candidates by reviewing applications, conducting initial interviews, and assessing qualifications against established position requirements. Identify and present the 3 strongest qualified candidates to the DPTS hiring team, including concise candidate summaries and relevant screening information. Coordinate the interview process between candidates and the DPTS hiring team while maintaining timely, professional communication throughout the recruitment cycle. Manage candidate progress within an ATS or comparable recruiting system , maintaining organized records and accurate pipeline information. Support offer and acceptance coordination , including communicating established employment terms, confirming acceptance, and coordinating the candidate’s start date. Remain engaged through the candidate’s first day of employment and provide appropriate recruitment updates to DPTS throughout the hiring cycle. Required Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience in full-cycle recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, executive recruiting, technical recruiting, healthcare recruiting, or high-volume recruitment Demonstrated ability to independently manage a recruitment process from sourcing through hire Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), talent management platforms, or comparable recruiting technology Experience using recruiting platforms such as iCIMS, Workday, Taleo, Lever, Greenhouse, Bullhorn, or comparable systems Strong candidate sourcing skills, including social media recruiting, direct outreach, cold calling, research, networking, referrals, and lead generation Experience building and maintaining a strong candidate pipeline Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong relationship management skills with both candidates and hiring teams Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently, prioritize recruiting activities, and meet agreed-upon timelines Strong understanding of professional recruiting practices and candidate experience Familiarity with employment and labor laws and recruitment-related compliance requirements Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality and professionalism when handling candidate information Preferred Qualifications Experience recruiting professionals in pediatric therapy, healthcare, education, behavioral health, or related fields is strongly preferred. Experience recruiting SLPs, OTs, SLPAs, BCBAs, behavioral health professionals, educators, nurses, or other pediatric/healthcare professionals is a plus. Experience with recruitment marketing, employer branding, social media sourcing, campus recruitment, professional networking, or specialized healthcare recruiting is also valued. Engagement Structure This is a deliverable-based independent contractor position , not an hourly or salaried role. Each engagement is tied to a specific open position and hiring cycle. The recruiter will have autonomy over their sourcing, outreach, screening, and recruitment strategy while working within the qualifications, hiring criteria, and timelines established by DPTS. For each assigned position, the expected deliverable is to: Build a targeted candidate pipeline. Source and screen qualified candidates. Identify and present the 3 strongest qualified candidates to DPTS. Coordinate the interview and selection process. Assist through offer acceptance and confirmation of the candidate’s start date. Remain engaged through the candidate’s first day of employment. DPTS retains final authority regarding candidate selection, compensation, employment terms, and all hiring decisions. The $250 retention bonus is earned only when the recruited candidate remains actively employed with DPTS for 90 consecutive days .
