# Incident Response Oversight Senior Consultant **Holding Group** · Doha · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 26 дней назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role We are seeking an experienced Incident Response Oversight Senior Consultant to lead and oversee the organization’s incident response capabilities, ensuring that cybersecurity incidents are detected, assessed, contained, investigated, and resolved in a timely and effective manner. The successful candidate will provide senior-level oversight of incident response activities, coordinate across Cybersecurity, IT, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and business teams, and ensure that incident response processes, playbooks, and controls align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide senior oversight and governance of cybersecurity incident response activities from initial detection through closure and post-incident review. Lead the coordination and escalation of high-severity and critical cybersecurity incidents . Ensure effective incident triage, severity classification, containment, eradication, recovery, and lessons-learned activities. Monitor the performance and effectiveness of the Security Operations Center (SOC), incident response teams, and relevant technology platforms. Review and continuously improve Incident Response Plans, procedures, playbooks, escalation matrices, and communication protocols . Coordinate incident response activities across Cybersecurity, IT Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, Application, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Business teams. Provide executive-level reporting on significant incidents, including business impact, root cause, response actions, risks, and remediation status. Establish and monitor Incident Response KPIs and KRIs , including response and recovery times, incident trends, recurring issues, and control effectiveness. Lead or oversee post-incident reviews and root-cause analysis , ensuring that corrective and preventive actions are properly identified, assigned, tracked, and closed. Conduct and oversee incident response exercises, tabletop exercises, simulations, and crisis management drills . Assess the organization’s readiness to respond to emerging cyber threats and recommend improvements. Ensure incident response practices align with applicable regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and recognized frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SANS . Support cybersecurity risk assessments, audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance activities related to incident management. Evaluate third-party and vendor incident response capabilities and participate in the management of security incidents involving external parties. Develop and maintain senior management dashboards and periodic reports covering cybersecurity incidents and response performance. Identify opportunities to enhance automation, orchestration, threat intelligence, and incident response technologies. Mentor and provide guidance to incident response and cybersecurity professionals. Maintain awareness of emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, vulnerabilities, and incident response best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security , or a related discipline. 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, security operations, cyber risk, or a related field. Significant experience in incident response management and oversight , preferably within a large or complex enterprise environment. Proven experience managing or overseeing high-impact cybersecurity incidents and cyber crises . Strong understanding of SOC operations, SIEM, EDR/XDR, threat intelligence, digital forensics, vulnerability management, and security monitoring. Experience developing and maintaining incident response plans, playbooks, procedures, and governance frameworks. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, particularly NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST SP 800-61, ISO 27001, and SANS incident response methodologies . Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical risks and incidents to senior executives. Experience working across multiple technology and business functions during cybersecurity incidents. Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and crisis-management capabilities.
