IBM MAS Data Migration Lead

Role - IBM ArmyWorX MAS Data Migration Lead

• Candidates with hands-on IBM Maximo functional and technical experience and a strong record of leading data migrations.
• Support a demonstration of IBM Maximo and assessment of integrations and business processes for Army installation-level energy and utilities management, data analytics, and operational oversight. The work includes interoperability with Army enterprise systems and transition considerations.

Key responsibilities

Lead data assessment, cleansing, mapping, transformation, validation, and loading from legacy systems into Maximo Application Suite (MAS). Develop migration strategies and execution plans with business and technical stakeholders; support test migrations and mock conversions; resolve data issues; and maintain data quality, integrity, traceability, governance, and security compliance.

Required experience

• 5+ years supporting IBM Maximo EAM as a functional and technical resource.
• 3+ years leading Maximo data migration, including extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and loading.
• Experience with MAS and/or Maximo 7.x migration and conversion projects.
• Strong understanding of EAM processes: asset, work, preventive maintenance, inventory, and supply chain management.
• Ability to define and explain what data is needed, when, and why it supports Maximo business processes and outcomes.
• Experience developing data mapping, transformation, conversion, and reconciliation rules between source systems and Maximo.
• SQL and relational databases, such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or DB2, for analysis, validation, and migration.
• Data quality assessment, cleansing, and governance experience.
• Mock conversions, test migrations, user acceptance testing, cutover planning, and production deployments.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, documentation, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, including work with maintenance personnel, business stakeholders, data owners, and technical teams.
• Proficiency with migration tools, databases, ETL processes, and data quality management.

Preferred experience

• SAP S/4HANA Asset Management and/or SAP Plant Maintenance (PM).
• Other EAM platforms, including SAP PM, Infor EAM, or Hexagon EAM.
• Migrating maintenance, logistics, supply chain, ERP, or asset-management data into Maximo.
