In this role, you will be responsible for developing precise and efficient computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) programs using Hypermill software to control CNC milling machines. Your expertise will ensure the seamless translation of design files into high-quality machined parts, supporting our commitment to excellence in fabrication and mechanical assembly. Duties Develop and optimise CNC milling programs using Hypermill CAM software for various mechanical components Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and specifications to create accurate toolpaths Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturability and adherence to quality standards Set up, troubleshoot, and adjust CNC machines to execute programmed instructions effectively Select appropriate tooling, materials, and fixtures for machining operations Maintain detailed documentation of programs, processes, and revisions for quality control purposes Assist in the setup and calibration of milling equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times Experience Proven experience as a CAM programmer specializing in Hypermill or similar software in a manufacturing environment Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in fabrication, assembly, welding, and materials handling Hands-on experience with milling operations, tooling selection, and CNC machine setup Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or equivalent for interpreting design models Basic math skills for measurements, tolerances, and calculations involved in programming Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus for understanding automation processes Warehouse experience or familiarity with materials storage and handling procedures is advantageous This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in dynamic environments where precision meets innovation.
