HVAC General Business Manager / Operations Leader Location: Austin, Texas Compensation: $110,000 - $120,000 Base Salary + Significant Equity Ownership About the Opportunity We are a significantly funded home services organization looking for an entrepreneurial HVAC leader to build and manage a brand-new HVAC business from the ground up in Austin, Texas. You will not just be managing a branch; you will be acting as the operational founder of this new entity, backed by strong capital, marketing, and technology resources from our parent company. What You'll Do Build from Scratch: Launch and scale a full-service HVAC operation in the Austin market, establishing standard operating procedures, service standards, and dispatch workflows. Licensing & Compliance: Serve as the qualifying license holder for the business, ensuring all installations, repairs, and business operations strictly comply with Texas state regulations and safety codes. Recruit & Lead: Hire, train, and manage a high-performing team of licensed technicians, sales professionals, and support staff. P&L Ownership: Manage the financial health of the business, driving revenue growth, optimizing profit margins, and controlling equipment and labor costs. Strategic Growth: Partner with the parent company's executive team to execute go-to-market strategies, secure supplier relationships, and rapidly capture market share in Central Texas. What You Bring Active License: You must currently hold an active Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Class A or Class B Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractor License (TACLB) . Industry Expertise: Deep technical and operational experience in the residential and/or commercial HVAC space, with a strong understanding of system design, installation, and maintenance. Entrepreneurial Mindset: The drive, resilience, and strategic thinking required to build a business from the ground up. You treat the business like it is your own—because as an equity holder, it will be. Leadership Experience: A proven track record of managing crews, driving ticket averages, and running profitable HVAC operations. Local Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the Austin HVAC market, local supplier networks, and regional seasonal demands.
