The successful candidate will ensure full compliance with Irish employment legislation, HIQA standards, and GDPR, while supporting management in maintaining a positive workplace culture and implementing effective staffing policies. Key Responsibilities - HR Leadership & Compliance: Deliver professional HR guidance to management across both sites, ensuring all operations align with current employment legislation, HR best practices, and statutory regulatory requirements. - Employee Relations (ER): Act as the hands-on lead for all ER matters. Independently manage and resolve workplace conflicts, grievances, disciplinary procedures, and formal workplace investigations. - Regulatory & Audit Readiness: Maintain employment files, staff training matrices, and HR records to strict HIQA standards and GDPR requirements, ensuring both homes are constantly audit-ready. - Workforce Planning & Development: Oversee staff retention and recruitment strategies, coordinate workforce planning schedules, and champion ongoing staff development and mandatory training programs. - Culture & Policy Implementation: Support home management teams in fostering a positive, collaborative workplace culture. Ensure all internal staffing policies and procedures are practically and effectively implemented. Qualifications & Requirements - Experience: Proven, hands-on experience in managing complex employee relations, conflict resolution, grievances, and formal investigations. - Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of nursing home regulations and HIQA compliance requirements is a distinct advantage. - Data Protection: Deep understanding of GDPR compliance regarding the management and retention of sensitive employee files. - Flexibility: Ability to effectively manage the assigned part-time hours (8 days per month) split between the Sandymount and Merrion Road locations as specified.
