Human Resources Generalist Location: Studio City, CA 91604 (Ventura Blvd. & Vineland Blvd.) Schedule: 20 Hours per week, (4-Hours a day, hybrid), Monday - Friday. As our Human Resources Generalist, youll help make sure our employees have a positive, organized, and consistent experience from their very first day with us through every stage of their employment. Youll work closely with our Human Resources Director to support both our office team and field personnel, helping keep onboarding, employee records, training, compliance, and employee communications organized and on track. This is a role where discretion matters. People will trust you with questions, concerns, and information that requires care and confidentiality. We need someone who can listen without judgment, document accurately, recognize when something needs to be escalated, and treat every employee interaction with professionalism and respect. Heres What Youll Be Doing As our Human Resources Generalist, youll work closely with the Human Resources Director to support the employee lifecycle and help keep our HR operations organized, compliant, and employee-focused. Youll also: Prepare and collect required new-hire documentation and assist with new-hire orientation, including company policies, the employee handbook, safety expectations, and timekeeping procedures Coordinate first-day logistics with hiring managers, including workspace, equipment, keys, uniforms, and system access Schedule and track mandatory employee training, including harassment prevention and workplace safety, and maintain completion records Conduct 30- and 60-day employee check-ins, stay interviews, and exit interviews, and communicate relevant themes or concerns to the Human Resources Director Create, organize, and maintain accurate electronic and physical personnel files Maintain records related to leaves of absence, workers compensation claims, and accommodation requests under the direction of the Human Resources Director Assist with compliance reporting and provide administrative support for audits, unemployment claims, and employment verification requests Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding company policies, procedures, and HR paperwork, escalating substantive matters to the Human Resources Director Document employee relations concerns and complaints promptly, accurately, and objectively Assist the Human Resources Director with workplace investigations by coordinating interviews, taking notes, gathering documentation, and preparing factual written summaries Coordinate employee offboarding, including exit interviews, final pay documentation, return of company property, and removal of system access Maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee, applicant, and company information Communicate regularly with employees, managers, and colleagues by phone, email, text, and other business communication channels Assist with additional HR projects and responsibilities as assigned by management This is a people-focused, detail-sensitive role where professionalism, confidentiality, organization, and sound judgment matter every day. You Have These Qualifications You have at least 3 years of Human Resources Generalist experience You have working knowledge of California and federal employment requirements , as well as applicable Los Angeles County and City employment regulations You have at least 2 years of experience supporting employee relations matters Youre fluent in English and Spanish , both written and verbal You have experience handling confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism Youre highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, employee records, and compliance-related tasks Youre comfortable documenting conversations, concerns, and workplace matters clearly, factually, and objectively You understand when an HR matter can be handled independently and when it should be escalated to the Human Resources Director Youre approachable and professional and can build trust with employees and managers at all levels Youre comfortable working with HR, payroll, and document management systems Youre able to work independently while also collaborating closely with the Human Resources Director and management team It Would Be Nice If... I have at least 3 years of experience working in a Human Resources Generalist role. I have working knowledge of California and federal employment laws and HR compliance requirements. Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
