Job Description

Desert Man Transporting and Contracting LLC is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead and manage Health, Safety and Environmental activities across the company's infrastructure and civil construction projects.

The ideal candidate must have solid experience in infrastructure projects, including roads, earthworks, excavation, utilities, drainage networks, sewerage, pipelines and related civil construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor company HSE policies, procedures and safety management systems.
• Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, Abu Dhabi OSH requirements and project-specific safety standards.
• Oversee HSE activities across all infrastructure and construction projects.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments.
• Ensure proper implementation of HSE plans, method statements and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Monitor high-risk activities, including excavation, trenching, lifting operations, confined spaces and heavy equipment operations.
• Lead accident and incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Manage and supervise HSE Officers and site safety teams.
• Conduct safety training, toolbox talks and awareness programs.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, project managers and relevant authorities on HSE matters.
• Prepare monthly HSE reports, statistics and performance evaluations.
• Ensure environmental compliance, waste management and pollution prevention across project sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
• NEBOSH IGC is mandatory; NEBOSH Diploma is an advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of HSE experience, preferably within the UAE.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure and civil construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of roadworks, earthworks, excavation, utilities, drainage and pipeline projects.
• Good knowledge of UAE HSE legislation and Abu Dhabi OSH requirements.
• Previous experience managing HSE teams across multiple construction sites.
• Strong leadership, communication and reporting skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with previous experience working on major infrastructure projects with government entities, developers, main contractors or infrastructure consultants in Abu Dhabi will be highly preferred.
