We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. Permission will be requested before including a candidate's name or resume in a proposal. AlphaGov is seeking an HRIS and Payroll Systems Consultant for remote, project-based work with public agencies. There is no guaranteed assignment. What you'll do: Support HRIS and payroll-system pursuits and, when awarded, the related implementation or assessment work Review agency HR, time, payroll, and position-control processes against the system being proposed Plan configuration, parallel payroll testing, and conversion of employee and position data Identify integrations with finance, timekeeping, and retirement or benefits vendors Contribute system qualifications and past-performance narrative to proposals only when naming is authorized Support agency payroll parallel runs and go-live readiness Separate what you have implemented from what you have only advised on Apply to be considered. Requirements Required - Hands-on HRIS or payroll-system implementation for an employer with complex pay rules, as a functional lead or senior consultant - Experience with employee data conversion, parallel payroll testing, and cutover - Familiarity with position control, time entry, and earnings and deduction setup - Able to name the HRIS or payroll product you delivered - Comfortable as a 1099 project-based collaborator, with occasional client travel Nice to have - Public-sector or school-system payroll, including bargaining-unit pay rules - Work across more than one HRIS product, not only a single vendor Originally posted on Himalayas
