HR Supervisor
About the Job XPRESS is on the lookout for a hands-on HR Supervisor to head up employee relations, labor law compliance, and performance management. This position matters a lot in helping us stay a fair, rule-abiding, and employee-first workplace — the ideal candidate handles delicate people issues with care, applies company rules evenly, and helps team leads get the best out of their people. We need someone who's both a clear communicator and a level-headed, decisive problem-solver — someone who doesn't shy away from hard conversations, investigations, or disciplinary work, while still building genuine trust with both staff and leadership. What You'll Be Doing 1. Labor Compliance Make sure the company stays compliant with labor legislation, DOLE rules, and internal guidelines. Be the main contact for anything labor-related — concerns, grievances, disputes. Help track and manage labor cases from start to close. Work with legal/compliance teams on labor issues when the need arises. Track labor law updates and adjust company policy in response. 2. Employee Relations Take employee complaints, conflicts, and concerns from first report to final resolution. Run or supervise investigations into complaints — harassment, misconduct, policy breaches — with fairness and discretion. Help employees and their managers work through disputes and cool down tense situations. Carry out disciplinary steps, keeping due process intact and outcomes consistent and documented. Coach managers on how to properly handle ER situations under policy. 3. Performance Management Fully own and keep improving the performance management cycle. Partner with managers on setting goals, KPIs, and development plans for their teams. Make sure performance reviews, PIPs, and evaluations happen on time, consistently, and with proper documentation. Catch patterns in performance problems and propose fixes. Keep an eye on performance data and report trends up to leadership. 4. Policy Oversight Keep ER and disciplinary policies up to date. Make sure HR policy on conduct and performance is applied the same way company-wide. Maintain clean, audit-ready case documentation. 5. Reporting Compile regular reports on case counts, resolution speed, disciplinary results, and performance management status. Feed leadership useful insights and recommendations based on the data. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related area. 4+ years handling employee relations, labor relations, or generalist HR work with a strong ER angle. Good working knowledge of Philippine labor law and DOLE compliance. Proven experience with workplace investigations and disciplinary handling. Track record building or running performance management programs. Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and people skills. Discretion and professionalism with sensitive employee data. Comfort operating in a fast-paced, ever-changing setting. What Winning Looks Like By month 6–12, you'll have: Built out a dependable, documented ER case process. Sped up how fast grievances and disputes get resolved. Helped managers feel more equipped to deal with performance and conduct problems. Made performance management more consistent and effective company-wide. Earned a reputation as a fair, trustworthy HR go-to for employees and leaders alike.
