In this hybrid role, you will play a critical part in driving company growth by acting as a proactive headhunter for skilled trade and office personnel, while maintaining smooth, compliant daily HR operations. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Headhunting: Proactively source, headhunt, screen, interview, and onboard skilled trade workers, field staff, and administrative personnel to meet ongoing staffing needs. Performance Management: Develop and manage periodic employee performance review cycles, establish key performance metrics, and create actionable Employee Improvement Plans (PIPs). Offboarding & Terminations: Manage employee offboarding and terminations professionally, empathetically, and strictly according to company guidelines and legal standards. Compliance & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of labor laws, HR practices, and recordkeeping procedures for Alabama and surrounding Southeastern states. Employee Relations & Support: Act as an approachable HR contact for team members, fostering a positive workplace culture, resolving conflict, and supporting retention initiatives. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources and/or active recruiting (experience within the electrical, trade, or construction industries is a plus). Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or an equivalent field. Personality & Drive: High-energy, personable, and proactive with strong networking, headhunting, and candidate-engagement skills. Regional HR Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of HR compliance, employment law, and documentation standards in Alabama and neighboring states. Communication & Discretion: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive employee matters, performance interventions, and terminations with full confidentiality.
