Job Title: Recruiter Organisation: Chosen Care Group Location: Ilford Reports to: Senior Management / Operations Lead Role Purpose The Recruiter is responsible for delivering a high-quality, end-to-end recruitment service across Chosen Care Group. The role ensures that the organisation attracts, appoints, and retains safe, competent, and values-driven staff, in full compliance with CQC, employment law, and internal policies. The postholder will work closely with managers across all branches to understand workforce needs and support operational stability and growth. Key Responsibilities Workforce Planning & Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with department managers across all branches to understand current and future workforce requirements. Proactively plan recruitment activity to meet service demand, cover vacancies, and support growth. Maintain regular communication with managers regarding recruitment progress and staffing needs. Advertising, Marketing & Employer Branding Advertise vacancies through appropriate and effective channels (job boards, social media, referrals, and local networks). Promote and market vacancies to attract high-quality candidates. Support the wider marketing activity by promoting Chosen Care Group as an employer of choice and strengthening the company brand. Shortlisting & Interviewing Screen and shortlist candidates in line with role requirements and company values. Conduct initial interviews and coordinate second-stage interviews with relevant managers. Support managers during interviews and provide professional recruitment guidance. End-to-End Recruitment & Compliance Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from application to onboarding. Ensure completion of all pre-employment checks, including: ▪ Enhanced DBS checks ▪ Right-to-Work checks ▪ Employment references ▪ Full application documentation Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant staff files in line with CQC and organisational standards. Onboarding & Post-Placement Support ▪ Act as the main point of contact for new starters for the first 6–12 weeks. ▪ Support new staff to settle into their role, addressing concerns early and preventing issues or grievances. ▪ Work with managers to resolve any attendance, performance, or hours-related issues. Ongoing HR & Quality Support ▪ Work alongside managers to ensure supervisions, appraisals, and training are completed for recruited staff. ▪ Maintain accurate records of supervision, appraisal, and training activity. ▪ Support managers in building and stabilising staff hours where required. ▪ Ensure all staff records remain up to date and inspection-ready in line with CQC expectations. Person Specification - Essential: ▪ Experience in recruitment, ideally within health and social care ▪ Strong understanding of safer recruitment and compliance requirements ▪ Excellent communication and organisational skills ▪ Ability to work collaboratively with managers across multiple sites ▪ High attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance Desirable: ▪ Knowledge of CQC standards and expectations ▪ Experience in employer branding or recruitment marketing ▪ Understanding of workforce planning in care services Values The postholder must demonstrate and uphold Chosen Care Group’s core values of Compassion, Respect, Integrity, Professionalism, and Teamwork in all aspects of the role.
