Job Summary HR Manager is responsible for leading and managing the full spectrum of Human Resources functions, ensuring effective people management, compliance, workforce planning and development in alignment with the Company’s business objectives and values. Key Responsibilities 1. Recruitment & Manpower Planning Lead end-to-end recruitment, including mass recruitment and critical hiring. Work closely with Management and HODs on manpower planning and workforce requirements. Ensure timely fulfilment of vacancies and effective onboarding of new employees. Develop recruitment strategies to attract and retain suitable talent. 2. Performance Management Lead KPI setting, performance appraisal, probation/confirmation and PIP processes. Manage promotion, salary adjustment and employee performance reviews. Advise Management on performance-related decisions and talent development. Drive a performance-driven culture across the organisation. 3. Employee & Industrial Relations Lead employee relations and disciplinary matters, including misconduct, show-cause letters, investigations and Domestic Inquiry. Provide HR advice on employee grievances, conflict resolution and termination matters. Liaise with JTK, JPP and other relevant authorities when required. Ensure HR practices comply with the Employment Act and applicable Malaysian labour laws. 4. HR Operations & Compliance Oversee employee movement, documentation, confirmation, transfer, resignation and exit processes. Develop, review and implement HR policies, SOPs and employee guidelines. Ensure proper HR records, confidentiality and compliance. Continuously improve HR processes and systems. 5. Learning & Development Identify training needs based on business requirements and performance gaps. Lead development programmes for Supervisors, Managers and key talents. Monitor training effectiveness and ensure training contributes to business performance. Support succession planning and talent development initiatives. 6. Payroll & Compensation & Benefits Oversee monthly payroll process and ensure accuracy and timely completion. Act as final reviewer/checker for payroll rather than necessarily processing payroll personally. Review salary structures, allowances, increments and compensation proposals. Conduct salary benchmarking to ensure competitiveness and internal equity. 7. HR Analytics & Reporting Monitor and analyse headcount, turnover, absenteeism, overtime and manpower cost. Prepare regular HR reports and insights for Management decision-making. Identify workforce trends and recommend appropriate HR interventions. 8. HR Leadership & Business Partnership Lead and develop the HR team through clear KPI setting, coaching and performance management. Partner with Management and operational leaders on people-related matters. Provide objective HR advice and confidently challenge or recommend alternatives when required. Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, discipline and continuous improvement. Key Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, Industrial Relations or related field. 6–9 years of progressive HR experience , with at least 2–3 years in a managerial/supervisory role . Experience managing a workforce of approximately 300–700+ employees is preferred. Strong experience in mass recruitment, critical hiring, Industrial Relations, performance management and HR operations . Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and HR compliance. Experience in F&B, Retail, FMCG, Manufacturing or Hospitality is preferred. Good understanding of payroll, HR analytics and compensation & benefits. Strong Bahasa Malaysia and English communication skills. Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office. Preferred Profile Experience in a fast-paced, multi-outlet or operational environment. Exposure to established companies or larger-scale organisations. Candidates with Islamic education background such as sekolah agama, tahfiz, pondok or pesantren will be an added advantage. Demonstrates amanah, integrity, discipline, confidentiality and humility . Firm but respectful leadership style; mature, emotionally stable and able to provide constructive views to Management. Low-politics, solution-oriented and able to maintain professional boundaries. Key Success Measures (KPI) Recruitment fulfilment and critical hiring turnaround. Employee turnover and manpower stability. Performance appraisal and confirmation completion. Effective resolution of IR/disciplinary cases. Training completion and effectiveness. Payroll accuracy and timeliness. HR compliance and documentation. HR team performance and continuous process improvement.
