The HR Manager is responsible for employment policies and procedures, overseeing payroll and rewards and recognition programs as well as managing workplace safety initiatives. Along with administering employee-benefit programs, the HR Manager role involves in recruiting new job applicants and bridges Employee Relations and Legal Compliance. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Developing and administering human resources plans and procedures that relate to company personnel Nurture a positive working environment Planning, organizing, and controlling the activities and actions of the HR department Contributing to the development of HR department goals, objectives, and systems Implementing and revising a company’s compensation program Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan Creating and revising job descriptions Conducting annual salary benchmarking Developing, analyzing and updating the company’s evaluation program Maintaining and revising the company’s handbook on policies and procedures Performing benefits administration Administers benefits programs such HMO, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance. Manage and oversee the recruitment and selection process Overseeing recruitment efforts for all personnel, including writing and placing job ads Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions. Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward Company goals. Managing the recruitment and selection process Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations. Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programsMaintaining department records and reports Recommending new policies, approaches, and procedures Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law. Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
