HR Generalist
About the opportunity We are recruiting an HR Generalist on behalf of our client . The successful candidate will join the client’s team and work closely with its HR Manager, focusing on employee relations, HR compliance, payroll oversight, and basic training development. This supervisor-level opportunity is suited to an experienced HR professional who works confidently with warehouse, production, and other frontline employees. Our client needs someone who can bring structure to daily HR operations while keeping processes practical for a local business setting. Key responsibilities Employee relations and compliance Handle employee relations cases, including employee concerns, incident investigations, disciplinary documentation, and case follow-through. Prepare notices to explain, notices of decision, and other employee communications in coordination with the client’s HR Manager. Support fair and consistent application of company policies, due process, and applicable Philippine labor requirements. Maintain confidential case records, monitor deadlines, and ensure timely follow-through. Guide operational supervisors on workplace conduct, employee concerns, and conflict resolution. Recommend practical strategies to address recurring employee relations issues. Payroll oversight Provide day-to-day guidance to the client’s payroll specialist. Review attendance-related concerns and payroll exceptions, coordinating with relevant departments to resolve discrepancies. Support payroll accuracy, timely processing, and consistent application of company policies. Training and HR operations Help establish a consistent onboarding and basic employee training structure. Coordinate with department supervisors to identify training needs, organize schedules, and track completion. Adapt established HR practices to the client’s operational needs without introducing unnecessary complexity. Qualifications At least 5 years of relevant HR experience, including substantial hands-on employee relations work. Direct experience supporting warehouse, plant, production, logistics, or other frontline operational employees is required. Background in food manufacturing, meat processing, warehousing, logistics, or similar operational environments is preferred. Experience in both multinational and local companies is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to translate structured HR practices into practical processes for local operations. Working knowledge of Philippine labor requirements, disciplinary procedures, investigations, and HR documentation. Experience guiding payroll staff or reviewing payroll-related concerns. Ability to organize onboarding and basic employee training. Strong judgment, discretion, and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with frontline employees and supervisors. Comfortable in a hands-on supervisor-level role working closely with an existing HR Manager.
