HR Generalist
HR GENERALISTMAIN RESPONSIBILITY Responsible for providing comprehensive Human Resources support in the areas of employee relations, HR administration, employee engagement, policy implementation, performance management, employee documentation, compliance, and other general HR functions. The position serves as a support to Management and employees in addressing day-to-day HR concerns, ensuring that company policies and procedures are properly communicated and implemented, and helping maintain a productive, compliant, and positive workplace environment. The position is also expected to be hands-on, flexible, and willing to handle various HR responsibilities and special assignments that may be given from time to time by Management or the HR Department. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESEMPLOYEE RELATIONS Serve as one of the HR points of contact for employees regarding workplace concerns, HR policies, procedures, and other employment-related matters. Address and assist in resolving employee concerns, workplace issues, grievances, and interpersonal conflicts in a professional and fair manner. Conduct employee consultations and coordinate with concerned departments regarding HR-related concerns. Assist in handling employee disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies and applicable rules. Prepare and maintain documentation related to employee incidents, notices, explanations, and other employee-relations matters. Promote positive employee relations and maintain professionalism, fairness, confidentiality, and respect in dealing with employees. HR ADMINISTRATION & EMPLOYEE RECORDS Maintain accurate, complete, and organized employee personnel files and HR records , both physical and digital. Prepare HR documents, memoranda, notices, forms, reports, certifications, and other personnel-related documents. Monitor employee movements and employment-related documentation such as transfers, promotions, regularization, changes in employment status, and resignations. Assist in employee onboarding, orientation, deployment, and offboarding activities. Ensure proper documentation and filing of employee-related transactions. Assist in maintaining accurate employee information and coordinate with the HRIS/Recruitment team when updates or corrections are required. Prepare HR reports, monitoring sheets, trackers, and other documents required by Management. PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the company's performance management process . Coordinate performance evaluation schedules and ensure timely completion of evaluation forms and related documents. Assist supervisors and managers in properly documenting employee performance concerns. Monitor probationary and regular employee status requirements in coordination with concerned departments. Assist in preparing performance improvement plans and follow up on agreed action items when necessary. Provide support to supervisors and managers regarding proper documentation and handling of employee performance concerns. HR POLICIES & COMPLIANCE Assist in the implementation and communication of company policies, rules, regulations, and procedures . Ensure employees are properly informed of applicable HR policies and workplace standards. Assist in monitoring compliance with company rules and HR procedures. Assist in preparing documents and records required for DOLE and other government-related HR compliance matters . Assist in HR audits, inspections, compliance reviews, and other regulatory requirements. Monitor and report identified HR process or compliance gaps to the HR Department. Help ensure that HR practices are implemented consistently and fairly across departments and locations. EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT & HR PROGRAMS Assist in planning and implementing employee engagement activities, company events, employee programs, and HR initiatives . Support employee orientation, town halls, meetings, training activities, and other internal programs. Assist in gathering employee feedback and identifying opportunities to improve employee experience. Help promote teamwork, professionalism, company values, and a positive workplace culture. Assist in employee recognition and other engagement initiatives as assigned. TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT Assist in identifying employee training and development needs in coordination with department heads and supervisors. Coordinate training schedules, attendance, documentation, and evaluation. Assist in the preparation of training materials and other development activities. Monitor completion of required training programs and maintain proper training records. Support initiatives aimed at improving employee knowledge, skills, and performance. HR OPERATIONS SUPPORT Coordinate with different departments regarding employee-related concerns and HR requirements. Assist in HR investigations and fact-finding activities when necessary and as directed by Management. Assist in preparing HR-related reports, presentations, analysis, and recommendations. Assist in improving existing HR processes, forms, systems, and procedures. Provide support during company audits, inspections, special projects, and other HR activities. Assist in government-related HR transactions such as SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and DOLE matters when assigned and properly trained. Perform other HR-related duties, administrative tasks, and special projects that may be assigned from time to time by Management or the HR Department. QUALIFICATIONS Graduate of any 4-year course , preferably Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Administration, Management, or a related field. With at least 2–4 years of relevant experience in Human Resources , preferably with experience in HR Generalist or HR Operations functions. Experience in retail, food service, restaurant, manufacturing, or multi-branch operations is an advantage. Knowledgeable in employee relations, HR administration, performance management, employee documentation, policy implementation, and HR compliance. Experience in handling employee concerns, disciplinary cases, and workplace issues is highly preferred. Familiarity with Philippine labor laws and basic DOLE rules and regulations is an advantage. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint . Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent documentation and organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Able to handle confidential employee and company information with discretion and professionalism. Mature, fair, objective, and capable of dealing with employees at different levels of the organization. Able to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Proactive, resourceful, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Willing to undergo training and continuously learn company policies, HR processes, and applicable labor regulations. Flexible and willing to assist in different HR functions and handle additional responsibilities or special assignments from time to time . Must be available to start immediately. The ideal candidate has a good understanding of HR operations and employee relations , is comfortable handling sensitive employee concerns, and can balance the interests of employees and the company while maintaining fairness, confidentiality, and professionalism. The candidate must be hands-on and willing to learn the company's actual HR processes and policies through training and experience. They should be capable of handling day-to-day HR concerns while also supporting HR programs, compliance activities, employee engagement, performance management, and other HR initiatives. Above all, the ideal candidate must demonstrate integrity, fairness, confidentiality, accountability, good judgment, adaptability, and commitment to the company , while being willing to take on additional HR responsibilities and special assignments as the needs of the business arise.
