HR Generalist
Job Summary: The HR Generalist is responsible for overseeing daily human resources functions in the hotel, with key focus on recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, timekeeping, and payroll coordination. The role ensures accuracy in employee records, compliance with labor laws, and efficient delivery of HR services to support hotel operations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Recruitment & Onboarding Manage full-cycle recruitment (job posting, screening, interviews, hiring) Coordinate manpower requests with department heads Facilitate onboarding, orientation, and completion of pre-employment requirements 2. Employee Relations Handle employee concerns, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures Ensure consistent implementation of company policies and procedures Support employee engagement and retention programs 3. Compensation & Benefits Administration Administer employee compensation and benefits in accordance with company policies Ensure proper enrollment, updating, and monitoring of government-mandated benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) Process and monitor employee benefits such as service charge distribution, leave benefits, health insurance, and other allowances Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and timely submission of reports 4. Timekeeping Management Monitor and maintain accurate employee attendance records (biometric/manual systems) Review daily time records (DTR), leaves, undertime, overtime, and shift schedules Validate attendance discrepancies and coordinate with department heads for corrections Ensure proper documentation and approval of leaves and overtime Generate timekeeping reports for payroll processing 5. Payroll Coordination Prepare and validate payroll inputs such as attendance, overtime, deductions, and allowances Coordinate with HR Manager to ensure accurate and timely salary processing Review payroll summary for accuracy before release Handle payroll-related concerns, inquiries, and adjustments Maintain confidentiality of payroll information 6. Training & Development Identify training needs in coordination with HR Manager Organize and monitor training programs and employee development initiatives Maintain records of training hours and compliance 7. Performance Management Monitor evaluation schedules and documentation Support performance improvement plans 8. Compliance & HR Administration Ensure compliance with labor laws and hotel policies Maintain and update employee 201 files and HR database Prepare HR reports (headcount, turnover, payroll reports, etc.) Process employee movements (promotion, transfer, resignation, termination) Conduct exit interviews and clearance processing Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, or related field At least 2–3 years of HR experience, preferably in the hospitality industry Knowledge of labor laws, payroll processes, and statutory benefits Experience in timekeeping and payroll systems is an advantage Skills & Competencies: Strong attention to detail and accuracy (especially in payroll and timekeeping) Analytical and problem-solving skills High level of integrity and confidentiality Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in MS Office and HRIS/payroll systems Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: Additional leave Company events Employee discount Health insurance Life insurance Opportunities for promotion Promotion to permanent employee Staff meals provided Work Location: In person
