HR Business Partners
Your Role HR Business Partners are highly business-focused and solutions-oriented change agents. They advise and coach leaders on people’s strategy to drive strong business performance and employee engagement. HR Business Partners help strengthen organizational performance by developing leaders who cultivate, inspire, and engage high-performing teams while ensuring outcomes align with the organization’s values and leadership behaviors. They also help translate organizational strategies into meaningful practices, programs, and tools that create an employee experience employees can take pride in and advocate for. Your Work In this role, you will: Align business unit initiatives to the enterprise objectives (think, look and connect enterprise-wide regarding impact, alignment and value) Align talent strategies to business goals Anticipate talent needs and ensure HR strategies (e.g., org design) are in place and aligned to business outcomes Provide data insights and recommendations Influence decisions around performance, structure, and engagement with an enterprise mindset Collaborate across functions to deliver integrated solutions Act as a connector between business leaders and the broader organization Support the planning and execution of human capital plans developing people strategies that connect and enable the successful execution of business strategies Lead complex initiatives where the impact is significant in supporting the client's needs: - Initiatives include organizational design, talent management, succession planning, compensation (equity, bonus, merit), and management development Partner with and between Centers of Excellence (COE's) and other HR teams to deliver seamless human resources processes and programs across the organization Strengthen the leadership by providing direct/candid coaching and leadership development to the executive team Act as a change-agent as the business continues to reshape itself with a goal of providing a world class customer and employee experience Support of employee engagement and culture work Broker all HR solutions for clients through specialist/expert HR resources Future Opportunities Great talent is always in demand at Blue Shield of California. Your Knowledge and Experience Requires a bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree Requires 10 years of prior relevant experience in a strategic Human Resources function role with a minimum of 7 years driving strategic initiatives Requires mastery level knowledge of Human Resources Requires demonstrated ability to leverage data to develop insights presented to HR and business clients. Requires exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to build trusting professional networks Requires strong evidence of Project Management Skills Requires evidence of strong communication skills (written and verbal) with demonstrated ability to clearly articulate issues to differing audiences, tailoring messaging as appropriate Hybrid This role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into the office two days each week. Employees living more than 50 miles from an office location will work with their manager to determine in-office time based on business need.
