HR Assistant Manager

Job Summary The HR Assistant Manager supports the HR Manager in planning, implementing, and managing all human resource functions for the manufacturing plant. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient HR operations, talent acquisition, employee relations, labor law compliance, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, and employee engagement. The incumbent works closely with production and department heads to maintain a productive, compliant, and positive work environment that supports operational excellence. Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Workforce Planning Assist in manpower planning based on production requirements. Manage end-to-end recruitment for production, technical, supervisory, and administrative positions. Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and probationary evaluations for new employees. Build and maintain a talent pipeline for critical manufacturing roles. Employee & Labor Relations Promote positive employee relations and foster a healthy work environment. Handle employee grievances, disciplinary cases, and investigations in accordance with company policies. Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions for employee relations issues. Support union-management activities, grievance handling, and collective bargaining preparations, where applicable. Ensure compliance with the company's Code of Conduct and disciplinary procedures. Performance Management Coordinate performance appraisal activities across all departments. Support department managers in setting performance objectives and development plans. Monitor employee performance, attendance, and productivity indicators. Training & Organizational Development Identify training needs in collaboration with department heads. Coordinate technical, safety, compliance, and leadership training programs. Maintain employee training records and evaluate training effectiveness. Support succession planning and employee development initiatives. Compensation & Benefits Assist in salary administration, benefits enrollment, and incentive programs. Coordinate with Payroll to ensure accurate employee information and attendance records. Respond to employee inquiries regarding compensation and benefits. HR Operations & Compliance Ensure compliance with labor laws, occupational safety regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files. Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics, and management dashboards. Support internal and external HR audits. Assist in implementing HR policies and continuous improvement initiatives. Employee Engagement Organize employee engagement activities, recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and company events. Support initiatives that improve employee morale, retention, and organizational culture. Safety & Environmental Support Collaborate with the Safety and Environment team to promote workplace safety. Participate in safety committees and support compliance with occupational health and safety requirements. Encourage employee participation in safety programs and awareness campaigns. Leadership Responsibilities Supervise HR staff and provide coaching and guidance. Monitor HR service delivery and ensure timely completion of HR processes. Act on behalf of the HR Manager when assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field. Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices. Experience in recruitment, employee relations, labor relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and HR operations. Knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Pay: Php40,000.00 - Php50,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
